Nice Extra Rush7. I am looking at getting one as soon as the weather clears up.
Can't wait to see a video.

I thought that a double wing bag came with the plane like the 88" EF Yak?

The Extra has a wing bag, stab bag, and a canopy cover.

Setup is DL-50 on a MTW RE2 tuned pipe with a Vess 23A. Will be putting my DA back on it as soon as it gets back form DA.
.
I have a DL 50 for a EF Yak54 88" and a MTW RE2 Tuned Pipe mostly because the stock muffler was just too laud, but I haven't build the plane yet.

I'm new to gas, what is the difference using the MTW RE2 Tuned Pipe on a DL 50 verses using it on the DA 50 ?

The MTW RE2 is the correct pipe for your 50cc engine. Same tchniques apply to getting the pipe/engine/prop combinations to work.

8611A's all around except rudder which has an 8711A.
This plane went together really quick and was very eay to build.
After you run the DL and the DA on the same plane, you should be able to give us a good idea of how the engines compare. Let us know....

Here is the honest truth. The DA is well broken in and the DL out of the box turned more RPM's with the same setup. The DL is every bit as stong as the DA.
After plenty of gallons of fuel through both of them, I would have to say for the money the DL is the way to go. I love the service that DA gives but the DL is a very good engine that I have not had any trouble out of.

Yep I had troubles with my DA-50. Finally sold it. I have had the DL-50 in two different air frames that are 17.5 pounds. Unreal how the DL yanks it around even at that weight. No dead stick issues and it cost me $300 less. I'm sold on DL. Can't wait to pick up a 55.

Yes, I know I am waking up a very dead thread here. I was wondering if anyone out there with the 50cc EF Extra has packed it into a Toyota Tacoma XTra cab? I am getting ready for a 50cc purchase, and this Extra is at the top of the very short list. I just want to see if the plane will fit in my truck for transport.

Thanks.

Mike
