Just broke my graphtech gear, actually real easily. My sd yakie 33%. I was wondering if there is a stronger set out.....The rcbp carbon gear looks trick! even a hair heavier would b ok if it solved the problem. Thanks 871

Aeroworks just received a new batch of their tailwheels.
I've been using this on my 42lb SuperXtra with no problems.
I have 3 more on the way.

Other guys were saying those carbon pros were breaking. I have the titanium one on my 33% SD Yak. Just go up a size because they do flex and will hit the rudder.

I drilled out a larger diameter dowel (I think it was 5/8") to fit the tailwheel wire, then installed the dowel into the tailwheel mounting plate on the fuse. After the glue was dry I clamped the tailwheel into place and had no problems with it twisting.

The RC Blimp Haigh tailwheel, like the Ohio Superstar Haigh tailwheels, have a "L" bend that's intended to be inserted in a hole drilled into the bottom of the fuselage. Hopefully you have a wood block or ply plate inside the fuselage to better support the "L" of the gear. The gear is secured to the bottom of the plane with electrical cable retainers. It's pretty simple really.

If you absolutely, positively have to have a large Haigh style tailwheel about the only ones I'm currently aware of are the ones from Ohio Superstar. Heavy though. We took a pretty good hit in the tailwheel department when Shaun decided to quit working.
