Default Finally Did It. QQ Yak 54 85"

First off i big thanks goes out to FG for all the networking this place allows. also like to thank Dan_No and Wrong Way Jones for this great deal, and awsome plane. with the history behind this plane and the great things it started for Brendan. i can only hope it serves me as well.. Dan_No can explain this much better then i can.

On to the fun. today i got a QQ yak 85 with DA50 on the nose for power and all the fixing without the rx, so im set for a big head start into the type of rc iv been working my way up to from the 40 size profiles, time to play with the big boys!! and im bouncen off the wall! heres a few pics. im sure ill have questions in the near future.

needless to say im hyped! thanks again!

mike

PS my dad couldnt help but trying the cowl on...

Beware man, you are addicted already you just don't know it. Once you move in to the gassers you won't stop until you have a 40%. Welcome to the gas world, you will love how much easier things are over glow.

Hey Mike, thanks for driving up and picking up the plane. I hope that you enjoy it and have a great time with it, and glad it went to someone we know.

It was Brendans first plane for IMAC, he got it for Christmas in 2005. Wayne Geffon and Mike McConville came down and spent the the day flying here with us on Brendans birthday in Sept of 2005, Mike gave Bren his solo flight that day.

Brendan wanted to fly like Mike and Wayne after seeing them fly all day, sooo he got the Yak for Christmas to try to compete with in 2006.

I took Bren and went to Clinton Indiana and met Mike there, the plane had never been flown and Bren had never flown a sequence. Mike flew with Bren all weekend and Bren ended up winning the contest, so it was pretty neat.

Went to Springfield in Sept of 2006 and Bren moved up and flew in the Sportsman class with Mike and Wayne both flying with him that weekend where he finished in 3rd place.

He flew this year flying Mikes 35% 260 and has done all he did this year.

Glad you got it Mike. When you get it ready we can come down for a day and fly with ya and help if needed.
