Default Winter Soaring - Oklahoma Style!!

http://www.flyinggiants.com/gallery/...o=1997&cat=579

Thermal soaring in Talihina, Oklahoma. Cold and windy . . . there were at least 25kts wind at 45-90 degrees to the runway all day. I left the stick and rudder to my fellow modeler and 777 pilot, Randy.

Matt, and others...

take a look @ this one. I used to fly down here alot, havent in a long long time though cuz I got 2 kids now... Flying in wave lift. very smooth and 10knot lift easy ! This is the stuff I used to fly when doing my silver badge flights... Used to make it to Mexican boarder and back by way of Palm Springs, and Big Bear... Very cool, and final glide from 17,999msl came in @ 145 mph ballasted in a Kestrel 17m
