I'm ordering parts as I go, now that I have the plane----also finances will keep this build at a little slower pace than "Rocket Builder"......also years of scratch RC boat building and airplane building will also slow me down-------an "ARF" plane can still need a lot of personal touches to make it your own and I will try and share some of my assembly secrets that will make this plane last for years...... Scotte

Hey scott. I was dry fitting the cans and motor. It wasnt very accurate, but ith ink the 70mm dro headers may fit. Ill ahve to double check. after the motor is mounted. Which will be very soon.

I will go with new 90mm drop headers......I trust the blueprint Herve posted and good alignment of an exhaust system means less chance of a split/connector failure and max performance------I have a set of new 70mm drop headers for sale.......you can buy them cheap for a set of spares

In the pictures, it looks like you have the compact DA mufflers. Do you need these to fit without cutting holes in the cowl or can standard DA muffler work.

The compacts are the way to go on this plane. The standard mufflers will rub the cowl and you would need to cut holes for them. Ken |

Thanks Ken, that is what I was thinking and seen photos with the cowl cut for the front of the muffler due to that. I am looking at putting cans on mine.

These next few pictures are from yesterday and today. Not much done. I got the Canopy mounted on to the hatch. i got a basic layout of how things will be placed. And i got some of the wing completed. Ive got the steel posts in. Not pictured is the servo holes cut out. Im waiting for some shrink tubing to come before i mount the servos in.

Harv,
Did you glue the canopy down as well as use the screws? What size smoke oil tank you using? Are you going to use steel cable or kevlar cable for the pull pull?
