Hey guys, I was going to take pictures, but it turns out my sister took the camera, and shes not home
. So i decided to jsut keep working. The plans actually changed a bit. Instaed of mounting the motor today i got to work on mounting my reciever and all the wires. I got the wings 100% complete, the pull pull 100% complete. Next up will be motor and cans.

I seen a manufactor www.pspmfg.com who was making a simular thing from Aluminum, but this would work great as well. I will be using this on my future planes. Thanks for the info Dan.

Anthony,
You're welcome, but it's actually Herve's drawing. I have used the mod before, he put it in a usable format. I moved it here as a reminder for those just gettting the plane. Do you have yours yet? |

Not yet, but it should be shipped out all together with the other planes and items I ordered this coming week. Hoping to get it before the weekend.

Thought I would post a few pics of my progress------I'm waiting for a shipment from down south----Futaba 9156's (6), JR 8711, JR matchboxes (2), Smartfly ignition cutoff, Pilot figure and custom grafixs......the installation of the axle block for wheel pants is the best way to ensure their longevity and does not take to much time.
I have to comment on the fit & finish of this plane.....the covering and fit of the parts is excellent!! The plane was packed very well and the hardware is topnotch....more soon

Since you haven't glued down your windshield yet, I got a finishing tip for asthetics fer ya. trim off the covering on the hatch that will be inside the canopy (I use a soldering iron to cut and seal covering as to not cut any wood underneath). I saw this done by aeroworks and would
Then get some paint (I use the waterbased stuff avail in any arts/crafts section of most department stores) and paint the wood. This way you won't get wrinkles in your covering beneath the canopy where you can't iron it back out. |

I like that....it makes the dash look a little more real......I might not glue the canopy down....it is setup with an area to put 6 screws to hold the sides and I will come up with a way of sealing the front (tape/pinstripe or decal)....how about the other Edge guys, have you glued down the canopy?.........I would not rely on glue alone-----at some point I'll bet that it becomes unglued

I was finnaly able to take a few pictures, but then my camera died. I managed to get these few photos though. I got the Motor just dry fitted with 3 bolts and some washers. Dad is still getting material for cutting out mine. The prop is drilled and mounted. the cone and backplate are all complete, but i mgiht have to take a little more sanding just to clean up the cuts on the cone.

That glue won't come unglued. I used to be a fan of screwing canopies on but the glue does look better and holds all around so it adds a lot of rigidity to the entire hatch part. |
