Harv,
Did you remove the center post, I think it is called a spinner nut, from you engine or is that the way it came?

No, i didnt remove the center post from the motor. The prop is unusually thick at the hub, so it reaches jsut above the post, and wit hthe backplate, it pushes it a even more past. Not a big issue though.

Just wondering, in the picture it looked like it was not there. Not an issue with these spinners as they don't require it.

With all these new builds going on, I can't wait to get mine and get started as well. Feels like a little kid waiting for Christmas day to come and be able to open up gifts. LOL. Lots of good ideas and tips being posted.

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. Ive just been really busy these last few days. Although i did manage to get a few things done.
The wings were pretty straight forward. There are 4 JR 8411's with swb(non double locking) servo arms. and 1 jr matchbox per wing. There isnt a fishing wire in the wing, so i had to tie a nut to the end of a string and add them in myself. There is no lack of throw and the control is very smooth. There is plenty of room for installing equipment. As you will see in the picture i am using a single reciever setup.(r-149 DP) I decided to go with a double servo for the rudder. The master servo(the one with the full arm, is a 2 inch hitec servo arm modified to be a 4 inch double locking. And i currently have a single sided hitec arm on the rear servo. All the rudder hardware is dubro(links, cables etc.) Im using an 8411 on the throttle. Ill more in depth on that when i get to doing all the motor mounting and etc. Wheel pants were a breeze. I did as it said in the manual(but i havent done that wheel pant mod though). I used a spare servo and put it on the back of the wheel pant so both sides would match. I will get to mounting cannisters as soon as i get the motor mounted completely. Also, i will be using a sullivan skywriter pump for smoke. enjoy
