A couple more. I was pleasently surprized when I put 24 oz. of smoke oil behind the wing tube. I will be moving the cg back before the next trip out. I put the last pic up just to let everyone know how nice the weather was down here.

Looking sharp, nice photos. Shorts and T-shirt? I guess I need to move.

I have a question. How much aileron throw are you guys using for 3d. Right now I've got 37 degrees and need more but to do so I'll need to move the control horns closer to the hinge line. Right now mine are set 1 7/16 from the center of the hinge line to the center of the linkage. I don't want to get to close and give up the mechanical advantage. I guess the two 7955's would handle it though. I just though I'd ask what others are using.

those are great photos. The smoke looks great. ?Id try and get out if there wasnt 2 feet fo snow. LOL. I dont know how much throw im getting exactly. I know its bevel to bevel on high rates. I have 1.5 inch arms and i think i got my horn about 1-1.25 inch above the aileron(to the center of horn).

Bevel to bevel is ok but I am under that a little. I fly pretty sensitive ailerons on mine, so much so most ask to de-tune it a little when I let them fly it. I am not sure where I am at right now for throw.
Also before adjusting all your linkages you may want to look at the servo end points on the radio and where you have them set...or maybe you already have. I am running 140% with a JR radio and the plane used in the manual is mine. Ken |

Definitely make sure you're getting the most travel possible out of your servos before screwing in the control horns.

I got some more pictures today and figured I'd post them before I started on the graphics.

Sadly, I can't make My Edge smoke. The KS cans I have don't have smoke fittings
