Ha-----Sweetpea's flight plan 1. Freeze my butt off cuz its still too cold up here in the NW 2. Take off 3. practice last years Sportsman because I still haven't really looked at this years 4. Fly really really high and dream about 3-D cuz I can't do it. 5. shoot a couple of approaches and land

I have been looking at this as my first 100c plane. I see that there have been some problems putting in the MTW cans. How has the fit been for the KS cans? I thought about getting a DA100 and KS rear exit cans for this plane. Let me know if that would be a good fit. Thanks.

Well , i took the 540 out to the field today for the first time this year. looks really good against a blue sky. took off plane flys really good in a 15km wind. flys really lgiht. and the CG is way better with my batteries farther back. eveerything was going well and i did an upline snap. probably the best upline snap ive ever done and the motor died. broguht her in nice and easy(its an edge, what do you expect) checked the fueld lines and there was fuel, and next time i fired it up it started almsot right away. Most likley an eletrical probelm with a loos plug. ill have to check it out another day. flys extremely well. still needs some tweeking with the dual rates.

To bad I didn't get to the field yesterday Harv, I was 3D flying all day in the Red Barn @ Chilliwack, tons of fun.......was your smoke on when it quit?
My plane is ready to go,,,,,,,when I was cutting the No Limits spinner, I had to turn the motor over a few times, and being a new gasser guy, it seemed like there was not a lot of compression in my brand new DA 100??? I made sure the plugs were tight and I am going to assume that this will change when I get some gas/oil flowing, some fire in the holes and the rings begin to seat, does this sound normal? I also made some custom prop protectors, found a nice leather glove for starting and made a hold down setup for the back of my truck---------wow this plane is big, closing the tailgate will be tight, even with it kitty corner!!

Once you get some fuel through your engine, the compression should pick up. Good luck on the maiden! My DA-100 is the best engine I've ever owned.
