I NEVER weigh my planes!!!
Nothing good comes from knowing how much it weighs!!!
Frank tells me you can take off with the new GP Extra and do Snap Rolls vertically out of sight with a DA150. I have seen the videos... look at the high alpha stuff AJ is doing... I don't care how good someone is.. if it is a wing waggly tippy rock... that can't be covered up....
Seriously.. in my SX... I have flown at low altitudes.. near sea level.. it is TOO FLOATY! I have been tempted to put a few pounds of lead in the wing tube! In a harrier, a little baby blip of power and it is flying again rather then staying in the harrier!!!

Watch the video... it rocks!! WHo cares what it weighs!

Funny. I kinda agree! While the EF 110" Yak is on the upper end of the weight spectrum for a 100cc engine, it is increadibly/ideally light for it's size. It has the same wingspan and almost as much wing area, yet is 10 pounds lighter than this plane!

Glad you pointed out just how bad they are..................NOT!

I really don't understand your post T. Bob

If it was an attempt at humor I don't think Tower would find it funny.

Maybe I'm missing something here.
You are missing something. This is a 38 pound plane with only 110" of wing and 2200 squares. There are 100cc planes in this size category! Most 150cc planes have 2600-2800 squares, 118-125" span, while coming in around the same weight.

That makes maybe 14sq. in. Diffrence in wing area.
It's more like 238 sq. in. and at 38-39 lbs with cans I'll take the Carden any day of the week.

Don't you ever compare a Carden to an ARF.

I know Dennis and believe me sir you are not him.

Wanna fly one and then tell us how bad it is?

Thanks,

Hey I just thought 38lbs was pretty heavy.

It's a shame at under 35lbs it would have been cool.

Nothing against Tower but in large plane department they don't offer anything.

With this being "Flying Giants" I thought people would agree.
I believe the proto was around 36 pounds. And I bet a weight freak like myself could get it down to 34 pounds.
Still, the point of having a 150cc for most people is to put it in a big airplane. This plane is just a 100cc airframe on growth hormones. I am sure there is a market for it, like guys that can't justify paying more than $1000 for a plane and are looking for a used 150 cheap. I am not in that market.
