Default Wizard was in the Dawghouse

I had one of those rare days that I was actually off work and decided to go visit one of the "local" hobby shops here in Indiana. I had met Scott from the Dawghouse last year at the Weak Signals show in Toledo. He was showing one of his new planes there and I have seen some threads about some others here on the Giants.

So I jumped in the van and headed out on a road trip. A couple of hours later I pulled in to the lot. When I walked in to the shop I noticed it was different from most of the shops I have been in. A large number of the models were made for gas engines.

I arrived just they were getting ready to weigh a couple of planes that had just been completed, Scott's new Yak 55sp and his new Sukhoi. The photos tell the tale.

I hung out for a couple of hours just looking over the planes and visiting. They were even nice enough to lug a couple of the planes outside and let me take some photos. It was a nice afternoon. Scott, thanks for your time and putting up with me today.

I couldn't resist and came home with a new toy. It's a 68" Sukhoi. Just what I needed, another plane.

Here are a few more pics. Dumb Arse me didn't think to get any photos of the inside construction. But I will say that the quality looks top notch. The included hardware kit is very complete, tank, wheels, all linkages are similar to the rocket city hardware with nylock nuts, the pushrods are all pre-cut. Carbon fiber wing and stab tubes and carbon gear.

The best part about the Yak 55sp kits right now is the price. Scott is going to be selling a few at $379.99. He is also offering a combo deal with a 3MM53 for 759.99

For the price you can't beat it.

The 68" Sukhoi I got was 219.99 + tax.

Dawghouse website isn't complete right now but He can take orders over the phone. His number is on his site, it's 317-852-4744

I'm looking forward to getting it in the air. I'm going to put an SPE26 on it. I figure with what I have around already and buying some new I will have it in the air for about $650-700. It will be getting a lot of use this year. The size will make it very easy to haul around.

Mike,
We enjoyed the visit, as I said we are always open to people hanging out, and as you saw with the shop I have quite a few people who work on their projects there to learn how its done.
So anytime and thanks for the nice words.

I would really like to purchase one of these, but would like to see the directions for assembly. I have a couple of 50cc planes but this one really stands out. I have two Harleys and the HD scheme would be awesome. Plus the wife likes it. I have tried the website but it is not up yet. If I could get te directions it would help me out before I purchase it. Thank's

Sorry not trying to steal your scheme. The wife has Harley everywhere, bedroom, vehicles and even her office. If that will help me get a new airplane can't pass it up. But that was good thinking.

Works for me! I've actually been thinking of doing a Harley Scheme for a while and what a perfect plane to do so!

Brian,
Instructions are in book form. I do have a program version but I don't know if the zip file will make it to you. I will try.
Payment by cc over the phone is ok till the security certificate comes through on the site check out.
Flew the production model Sat, straightest flying plane I have ever had. Absolutely no coupling with rudder and that was without setting all expos and stuff. With 53cc unlimited vertical. We got some video, will be cutting it and posting in the next couple of days.
