I called them yesterday on the very same topic. According the DA, it's the same width as the 150. Ken |

Yes, when i spoke w/ Bill over at D/A he said this was a "DROP IN" Replacement to the 150 only believe it or not lighter! Besides, I am not worried about this airframe not being tested with it..... That's what management of the left stick is all about anyway. I would rather have a little extra, than not enough....

I asked right from the start for replacement built up wings, no matter how long the wait was. Thanks to Herve and PAU's execllent customer service that is what I received. Just for everyones info, My original wings weigh 3 lbs 1 oz (on MY scale) The reinforced built up wings way 3 lbs 14 oz each. So not all that huge of a difference from the foam wings.

cbk07,
At any rate, I can't wait to hear everyone's ACTUAL experiences flying this plane. There has been alot of speculation and anticipation surrounding PAU's release of this Edge, and I am looking forward to hearing from y'all after you get 'em in the air!! I am putting together one of their 36% ers (should be done in a week or so) and can't wait to have another Edge in the hangar! Regards, Astrohog |

I'll check the wings out better tonight and post some pictures of whatever is reinforced. From first glance, the glue joints appear to be better (more glue).

craig and anyone else who cares, i would like to hear how your plane weight breaks down. i'm weighing my plane on a pretty good scale, not a bathroom scale. i originally weighed my wings @ 4.4 they now weigh 4.15 so i added about 11 oz to each wing. my wing tube weighs 11 oz. then i go to weigh my fuse and by picking it up it seems awfully light , it weighs in @ 30lbs soooo.. the total for my plane comes to
30 4.15 4.15 .11 = 40.5 lbs dry ... i never would have thought it, will try to borrow another scale just for comparison but would like to hear what the rest have come up with steve Last edited by xtreem3d; 04-13-2008 at 04:20 PM. |
