http://www.thunderboltrc.com/ has some great servo wire and connectors for making extensions. The wire is very plyable.

Not yet, plan to this weekend and will let you know. My CG is right at eight inches. I generally prefer a more aft CG but will start at eight. I plan to use the Edge mostly for IMAC as my 3D skills would dictate a short lifespan, so eight inches is probably best..
I am eager to fly her but our weather really is ugly right now. Actually it is quite beautiful to look at but blows for maiden fights. |

Sorry to see that. I wonder if the shipping dates are due to the holidays coming up. Usually they ship the next day. I imagine that those prices are in CND funds. It cost me $11.53 CND to have the servo wire and connectors sent to me, but that is the going rate for shipping up here. Just checked on their site and I am also getting end of the month shipping dates, so thinking it is due to the holidays (although it is a little early). Try contacting them and see what is up with the shipping dates and prices. I checked shipping with Canada post site online and the prices are a little bit cheaper than what was quoted (aprox $5.00).

8711's (3 Per wing so total of 6 for wings) 8711's (3 for Rudder so Grand Total of 9) 8611's (4 for Elevators) I also got 2 just standard JR's for Throttle and Choke. Is this correct? |

off2fly, you may want to consider two servos per elevator half. They don't have to have the power of an 8711 but PAU recommends having twin servos per elevator half to support the size of the surfaces.

I don't like standard on throttle. I prefer a servo with more speed. At least an 821 or the old 811. They have a little more torque than standard, they are pretty fast and they have plastic gears to absorb some vibration. My real preference is the 8411SA. As for choke you could go with standard but I would still use the 821 instead as they are not that expensive and can be used for so many other things as well.
As for the dual elevator servos........I think my 42% 300 are large and I only use 1 per side. I also don't fly 3-D with the plane. But if you don't follow Manufacturer Reccs than you have no leg to stand on if there happens to be an incident with an elevator. (not implying PAU wouldn't stand behind the product, just legally they wouldn't have to). It all comes down to the type of flying you intend to do

I've been running 1 per ele. on my 120" qq yak for a year and a half with no problem, the stabs are close to same size so i figured it would be alright!??I like a digital servo on throttle too!
