I never had a problem with the weight. The plane flew fine and hovered with ease with the smoke system in it even with a rolling weight of 35.5 lbs. I'm just not impressed with smoke systems on gassers, it's just not scale enough. The end result was a better flying plane. The DA 100 has plenty of power for this plane even if its on the heavy side.

I have seriously considered this plane, I really don't care too much for the color scheme on it but for the price it may grow on me. I think if you don't want to spend a grand on an airframe this may be the best bang for the buck out there. I just love Ultimates anyway, I had one for my third plane after learning to fly years ago (Goldberg/1.20 four stroke engine) it was a blast to fly. I don't do 3d or even compete for that matter, just like to go and have fun. Yea I'm one of those old guys that just flies around in circles and does a KE or a loop and a roll ever now and then but I still have fun!

I didnt much care for the color scheme at first but it does sort of grow on you after looking at it a while. It really stands out on a bright sunny day and everyone who sees it stops and comments on it, so that was good enough for me to leave it alone. I was considering recovering mine at first but figured the Mono-cote would be too hard to get off of it, atleast in my limited experience.

I say go for it, you wont regret it once you fly it!!

Just getting into the Posts and thought I would take a short cut and just ask:
Anyone find an instrument panel that works good on the PAU 37% Ultmate?
Anyone find a good pilot that fits well in the PAU 37% Ultimate?

Thanks,

Patrick

Does anyone know where I can get a set of nice wing bags for my PAU 37% ulti. I have been using two 82 inch single wing bags and it sucks trying to slip the wings together inside a big long bag.
