I will know soon enough. I should be flying in a couple of weeks with the 85. My runway is about 10' below sea level when the tide is high so elevation is ideal. I am just trying to decide between a Vess 26B or 27A. I will post my results as soon as I get it in the air.

I haven't weighed it yet but when I do I will let you know. I will say what ever it weighs, the 3W106CS pulls it with authority and with tons of power to spare.

Well I have seen reports of rpms from 6500 to 5800 with the 27A and a wrap around pitts so I am not sure what it will do. I may just try it and see what it pulls.

i 2 saw 6500 reports i did 5800-5900 27A of memory on mine in the back yard. I did 6020 or so on a 28 x 10 Mejzlik. I did not fly either one just wanted to know what RPM mind would pull. I did 6750 that same evening on the 26A.

This is an outstanding airplane once dialed in, I have finally found the engine for mine (my BME let me down), I have a Kroma 100I in mine and it works great . Motor still breaking in 6300 on a Xoar 27x10 rich.

Just the nomal pitch and roll coupling stuff, and engine thrust angle (up).
nothing hard. And this plane will really fly slow too.

What about a ZDZ Super 80? I have it on a CompARF 260 2.6m right now, but might be looking to get another plane for IMAC. It hangs the 260 nicely at 3/4 throttle.
The Ultimate looks great. Joe

The plane flys great with my DA-85. I think a ZDZ-80 would be good also.

I flew mine with a sick BME 100 that is still missing (at BME I hope they will not answer emails). Anyway it made about 1/2 powert and still flew the plane well. Just move everything forward and you should balance ok and the 80 single will be more than enough power. I have a Kroma100 in it now and it's a LOT of fun to fly now Lotsa of power.
