I have a new Da-100 in mine and it is more than enough power. It's a great motor choise for this plane.

The C/G took me a minute due to the different weights of the engines. I had to shuffle things around and do some re-routing but Im going to run the motor now and if all checks out I am charging everything fresh and I am out tomorrow.

This is deffinately a keeper esspecialy now with the new DA-100. It weighed out 31.5 pounds all up (dry) with a c/g about 2/3 forward of the rear mark. The airplane is finally getting closer to being dialed, it really flies great! sorry no pics but maybe next time.

Yippee!!........Mine Arrived on Thursday! Man is this thing Purty. OK.....here's the $64,000 question.......BME 116 Extreme or DA 100???????? I'm gonna sell my BME 102 to partially finance. The 116 E weighs a pound less than the DA and the adverts say it will swing a 29" prop (but you know how truthfull they can be). It's only $100 more than the DA. I know the company has stuggled........anybody experienced this combination and care to comment?

The BME 116 would be a great choice for the Ultimate. I've flown it with the DA, BME, and ZDZ and all will work fine. I do not have any experience with the new owners of BME but it sounds as if they are getting back on their feet. The BME 110 was the prefect motor for this plane and balance was spot on. Ken |

Ken, I set up my radio with 3 rate modes, low high and 3d. I set up the high rates (mid rate) with the throws recommended in the manual and the low and 3d i set them up accordingly. I am curious how much expo you dial into your control surfaces.

Well, mine is comming along......a little slowly.....but hopefully flying by New Years. I just sold My BME 102 today so thats either going to help fund the new BME 116 (or DA 100....haven't made up my mind yet) or its going to help fund my new Futaba 12FG!
I'm slowly transfering servo's out of my Wild Hare Sukhoi. Its got most of the 5955's I'm going to use for the Ultimate. My LHS (Tammies) had one of the new Airtronics 94780's in stock today. I'm going to run it on my rudder. 423 in/oz at 6vdc. I'm thinkin this should do it......any thoughts? Chris |

Chris, 423 ounces on the rudder will be more than enough for precision and 3D flight. The rudder on the Ultimate is very effective. What is the speed of the servo? Lots of great deals on used DA-100s out there, that would make a great combo with this airframe.

Hi Ryan,
The speed on the 94870 is .15 sec @ 6vdc. Comparable to a 5955. Price was a little spendy.....$125 but then again, I was going to run 2 5955's on the rudder so it saved me a little. |

Question is...........What color schemes do you have the PAU sticker in? Do you have any really large versions?
I'm doing my Ulti in Red/Black/White (maybe a touch of yellow also) Would really like a PAU sticker for the sides of the planes (along with Ultimate)
