Default SD models and Thunder Tiger

Anybody heard the latest on this merger. Spoke with TBM and they had not heard anything from SD models. Makes you wonder about kit and parts being available. TBM could not give any time frame on when the 37.5% Yak (orange/black) would be available. Doesn't Garrett hang out on this web site? I think he is an SD models guy. Maybe he could respond if he knows what is going on.

Greg, I have not heard anything on the change over. When SD Models was bought by Thunder Tiger I was not carried over. I have nothing to do with the SD/Thunder Tiger planes at this point. You might want to contact ACE Hobbies as they are the new contact.

TT, is a local West coast company and the rumor bin tells me the new planes are on the water. same planes, new schemes, same plant, just reputable distrabution. Rocky is the guy in charge of airplanes I'm sure he will chime in here sooner or later.. TT had a sample on display at the AMA convention of the 100cc yak. I have seen the 150cc 260 looks real nice..

Rocky,
Is there going to be a distributor for this line now, or is it direct only? Like will be able to order them from TBM once things get up and running?

Back in january everyone was talking about how much better it would be when TT took over SD models. I never had a problem getting parts from troybuilt when they had a deal with SD models. Now it seams there are no parts. I called up aeroworks the other day looking for a canopy for a three year old QB260 in yellow they had it in stock and at a reasonable price. Something to think about when your looking for your next plane. That being said I love my SD/TT Yak.
