I have 2 Hacker 20-20L's. One is in the Airfoilz Yak 54, the other in the Airfoilz Edge 540. I have a lot of flights on both of them. No problems whatsoever. What brand/amp speed controller are you using? I have the Hacker X-20. It has worked flawlessly too.

the prop is the most important part of the puzzle here, also are you a "full throttle the whole flight" kinda guy? the largest prop that should be used on a 20-20L is a 10x4.7sf that will put you over 20 amps with good batteries. the 10x3.8sf is a better choice IMO to keep the amps just at or under 20 amps. if you due fly full throttle most of the time use a 9x6E prop

Spaz beat me to it..... The prop is the key to good performance and good life out of any electric system.

Personally, I let the magic smoke out of a Hacker 20-20L by running and 11x4.7 APC on it. Lasted about 30 flights and poof.... I knew better than that but I did it anyway.

Hackers are quality motors, but even the best quality motor will burn up if abused.....

The Hacker 20-20L is a great motor for a very light plane such as the Charger CR-1. The only problem I have had is when they hit the ground and bend the shafts. This is no big deal to fix as they sell replacement shafts. I would reccommend getting a watt meter and checking what's (No Pun Intended) really going on with the propeller end. This is a great tool to have in your flight box, and may save you some time in determining the best combo for your particular application.

Yes I did thanks for pointing it out.... the only doubt was they quote threads discussing the hacker motor.

That said has anyone here tried it?
