Ok, for the newbies to Airbrushing, we are seeking the advise of the experienced folks here?
We are taking a 2 Question Pole to help everyone save money verses trail and error for airbrushes and airbrush paint...1. What are the best airbrush paints you all have found? 2. What is the best Airbrush brands and models you have found? |

createx
Paasch v1 I think is the one I use. 100psi shoots the paint right from the bottle.

I tried Apple Barrel paint at $1.59 ea The gloss colors are the best for cover quality. and somewhat waterproof thin with Windex works great . Createx is getting hard to find local.
![]() I use a Binks airbrush .

These come white, but we do sell them! That particular foamy is the 32" Extra 260. You can order a lightened milled version or plain solid. Unfortunately we are not shipping until after May 5th due to the RCX expo in Long Beach, CA. That will be our first big exposure and we will have about 7 designs being sold: 34" Eagle 580 (most popular) 34" Extra 300 34" Yak 54 32" Extra 260 30" Edge 540 23" Extra 260 23" Extra 300 On display, we are hoping to have a few prototypes such as the TAS Foamies hovercraft and 39" seagull (absolutely amazing on beach slope soaring!). Feel free to PM me with any questions you may have! ![]() take care and God bless!

Awesome, keep the models and types coming.
--> Also, add your tips for thinning, rather, if you THIN your paints, or only thin certain brands? --> If you thin the paint, with what and how much thinning? --> how about dry time with straight paint vs thinned paint? If you thin with isopropyle, does that increase dry time (or is it faster drying time??) ? Thank you in advance !!!

Gizmo you should check out the Foamie Painting thread. The answers to all your questions are in there. I think it's towards the bottom of page 2 in the foamie section.
