I am building the DW Yak and was wondering what you are using to hinge your control surfaces. It looks like you have actual hard point hinges and I would like to use something besides the tape.

For the Mid size one tape is more than enough, and DW provides it. the bigger one has a carbon rod that runs through several plywood hinges.Works very well ,but a bit heavy for a 38 inch foamy.

OD F3P type model, 8mm EPP ( like painting sponge...)
Plastikote Fluro Orange / Marking pens / and a bit of Airbrush

Nice slow fly AJ ,the flames almost have that true fire effect.

MikeC3D, your son did a good job! He should post it again after the complete build. Lets here how it flys. I have the same plane I think he'll be really happy with it.

Thanks guys. Devcon, Ya, I just cut out a stencil from poster board. After seeing all these planes I was inspired to try another paint job. I was working on a slofly 22, made with black foam, so it was interesting to paint. I stole some of your idea's snap on how to make the checkers, hope you don't mind.
