Well its time to confess about the Bucker. I am still working the prototypes (#2), it seems the company I worked with to do this job requires alot of time and effort to get things done. So we will see what happens.
I do have the preproduction prototype in the shop getting ready for build. I think if things can be worked out this will become an Electrified Bucker with Mr Sadler in mind. Sorta nostalgia meets the next generation power plant. So with this in mind we will most likly be doing a forum build on this Bucker with daily progress reports and pics. Untill then a few pics of #1.....

Welcome fellow Bucker nut! My favorite biplane ever. Matt Chapman is working on a full scale as well. A wheels up rebuild, should be a knock out. The Bucker models I've flown all handle much like the full scale machines from what I gather. The lines of the plane just look like it should fly well. Gordon, we're going to need some photos buddy! More Bucker = more better!!
Glad to have you join in! Bob

By the way Gordon, hate to tell you this but you simply HAVE to fly that baby to the full scale fly in we host at Triple Tree! Schedule it now so I don't have to come down there and drag you up!!!

Alright Biff bad news on the electrification. I am getting alot of I wants from people, this being said there were alot of changes made to the wing mounting procedures and being this is suppose to be the test bird for production this one will have to have a gasser on it. It will be the only way I am sure it will hold up to the vibes......However it will still make Toledo and S. Carolina just won't be running in silent mode...
Scott

What a surprise today to have Gordon stop in while he was in town. Seems this is a small country after all. It was nice talking to the owner of the actual airplane, hope to get some good shots of the plane for getting some more scale ideas so when I commit to the production run I can implement them.
It was a pleasure Gordon, hope to see you again sometime. Scott

Welcom to the FG website! What a surprise to see your name here. The FG site and the Bucker site are on my laptop and the most visited. I hope to meet your sometime in th near future at the Bucker Fly-in someday. I have been making some nice progress on the sheet metal on my Jungmann. More work tha I thought, but all new wing fairings and sheet metal around the tank and cockpits. The RC Bucker is also going to be a 'must have' for me as well! Take care! Matt |

I really feel welcome here! I've seen Matt's project, but not had the pleasure to meet him yet. My Bucker is based only about 80 miles from Triple Tree, so I will try to make the Joe Nall as well as the full scale fly-in in October. (Matt, this fly-in is the weekend after the BU BBQ weekend, so you should plan on making them both!...I have room in my hangar, if you want to non-rev home for the week, and come back!
I'll post some photos here for Scott & Biff. Gordon |

Wow! The Bucker seems to be getting quite a line of folks wanting one! Scott, as I'm a pretty organized dude, I'll help with the work load here. Remeber Scott, Matt is noted for butting in line. I've seen it happen even at the WW I fighter pilot's recognition benefit. Century old war heros being shoved like bowling pins just to make it to the roast beef carving table first. Don't get me wrong he's a nice enough guy, just can't wait his turn in line.
PEOPLE WHO ARE IN LINE AND WANT A BUCKER, IN THIS ORDER; 1. Bob 2. Gordon 3. Matt

To answer Bruno, all Jungmanns are two place, as they were primary trainers. In the late 70's the late Jim Moser of St Augustine, Florida modified my Jungmann, into a single seat airshow performer. The space where the front seat had been, was replaced by two fuel tanks, and a smoke oil tank. When he re-built the airplane in 1986, he added the canopy, and a large turtle deck. This is the configuration represented by the Carl Goldberg kit, as well as Scotts.
After surviving a serious cancer scare, I decided to realize a childhood dream, and buy a Lycoming powered Jungmann. As they are so rare, and the owners really love them, you practically have to wait for someone to die, to get your hands on one. After a long time, I decided to buy the still modified Moser Jungmann, because it was the closest thing to what I wanted on the market. I flew it under the canopy from 2002 till 2005, when I tore it down for a fuselage rebuild. With the help of others, I replaced the now unnecessary tanks with a original Bucker seat. The canopy and big turtle deck became hangar decorations, and a new low custom turtle deck was constructed. I now enjoy giving my two teen aged boys some 'dual instruction' and my wife some sight seeing tours. Aerobatics are more fun with company. True, I un-modified a uniquie, one of a kind airplane, but the dozens of people I have given rides to, are glad I did. G |
