Hello Gordon ,
Thanks for your info on the different pictures with the 2 and single seater .
As you said I'm sure your family and friends are happy you changed it to a 2 seater .
Hope your boys realize they're sooooo lucky ... :-))

Gordon, I like your style. The nerve of some buddies to buy a one seater is simply shameful. One "pal" in particular is that type of guy. If Air Bus sent him one of the new monster 5,000 seat jumbos and would spring for fuel to boot, he'd take out every last seat but his and have all the windows painted over while he was at it. Bravo Gordon for thinking of others and sharing the gift of flight.

Yea that paint scheme he had a few years ago didn't happen by chance. Word has it he flew over his friends while laughing at the groundpounders and they responded with a colorful barage.

As a clean freak, Matt has offered rides to folks. Here's Grand mother Chapman on her 89th birthday! Says Matt "Well Granny wanted her first flight to be in an open biplane like she saw on Waldo Pepper. As she was notorious for not wiping her feet and she wanted open cockpit,,, I told her to climb up there and strap to the pole and I'd hand her the gas hose to fill up. Heard the buckle click and the next sound was the 450 HP radial and Granny screaming like a banshee. SHE LOVED IT !! I tease her about that one a bunch!"

Hi Guys. Scott's motto is right...sooner or later, you'll be here. In my case, it was sooner. The day after I learned of the Bucker project, I had a full day layover in Indy! Here are some photos taken by Captain Mike Bierster (AKA Beerstore). Great visit, Scott. Thanks for your hospitality!

Gordon,
Not sure if you're a builder or not, but I have a very rare new in box Pilot Bucker Jungmann kit. This is the same plane that is hanging in the terminal at St. Augustine where the Moser's kept your Bucker. This kit is also done up like your Bucker. It;s a good size...I think in the 86" wingspan area.
If this is something you may be interested in,let me know. I'll make you a nice deal on the very hard to find kit.

A friend of mine and I are doing two 112" Jungamnns from scratch fro TopGun and Scale Masters. So, I no longer need this kit and will never build it.

Hi Matt, that's probably something I should own. Let me finish the Dave Platt 1/4 scale Jungmeister I'm working on now, to see if I am a builder or not! If you need to move it sooner, go ahead...and I'll live to regret passing on this one! Here are the lower wings for the Jungmeister. Top center section is done, spars added this morning.

Hey Gordon remember that is a model your building when you use that bottle of Moet to christen her.

Also that Bucker your holding is going in for a complete tear down and rebuild...Will be going Blue with it and the tail will be right.
Send me some good pics of the new turtle deck (might change it) and the rudder for color combos.

Second Prototype is coming along, it was damaged in shipping and had to be repaired in a manner to keep origonal integrity for tests. Will post pics of the Assembly as we get started in a new thread.

Some updates on the progress of proto #2.....
It has been slow going with trying to get the Yaks out and work on tech notes for the assembly manual. We went with a new cabane/strut system that is ultra easy to initially install, now I just need to see how much tweaking can be done for wing alignment. Also put the plane on the new gear, with mods. Looks good, I like the wire better but it would break at the bends and this will handle things a bit easier.
Till later

The cowl that is now on the airplane was custom made by Jim Moser's folks at Aerosport, in St. Augustine Florida in 1986. The only one in the world...I better take good care of it!
