The Border IMAC here in El Paso will take place this year on March 8 - 9th. Sorry for the late announcement, but we wanted to make sure that we would still have our field for the event (we're losing it at some point this year). Hope y'all can make it!

Can't wait. I hope everyone judging has a sense of humor. Gets dark too early to practice after work and weekends always seem to have the worst weather of the week. It may be like flying unknowns all weekend.

I'm will be out there. I cannot miss this contest. I think I arrive on Thursday morning and plan to be out flying shortly there after.

Matt, you showed up a week to early! Good seeing you at Oskosh last year, hopefully I can make it up this year!

There is still a few of us comming from Tucson, at least 3 of us. Both Brian Huff and Bill Higgins have decided to pass. Brian is expecting a child soon and Bill had some mech problems he is working with his new plane...

Animal... Glad to hear you are still going to be up there. I was out practicing to day and all is looking good. Little windy today but the plane is flying well. Look forward to flying with you!

I'll be there, and a buddy of mine from California is coming down, too. I might try to get some practice in this week, but if not, no biggie.

I get a lot of trips to El Paso with the airlines. Is their an RC field in the area that is active at all? Any FG guys live out there?

Matt,

The model field is less than a mile from EWM Vor. Head out the west exit and get on 54 north. The current field is closing down, and was in question for this years contest, but I understand they have a new field in the works.

I can't speak for their day to day activity, but they seem to have a good number of active flyers.

Okay, looks like we are staying at Hyatt Place near the airport. Can someone give me directions from there? Also, are there any shortcuts I should be aware of from Tucson to El Paso?
