As much work as it is to move - I'm sure whatever you do won't be a rash decision. Medford would be great still - a little south, so your drives would be a little longer for many NW contests but still doable. Maybe you can get Jim Gilbert out flying some more too.

Just wanted to let you know everything has sold so now it's on to bluer skies. We list the house this week for sale too.

You never know John where we might end up, but so. Oregon has always appealed to us. I decided to keep my heli's and JR transmitter so I won't be completely out of it. I will get a couple of foamys to keep me in touch with it and now I have no excuse not to use my sim, soooo.

The past six years have been the most fun I have ever lived. I thank everyone here for the friendship and warmth you have extended to us throughout this time. I am still a CD so you never know.... you might be seeing us again someday.

Thanks for the joy of such a successful thread, keep it goin boyz and girlz and may the plane powers the be keep yours safe and flying straight. I don't want anyone emmulating my style... ha ha.. Trust me, no one can afford that many crashes!

Mike,

We have an active and growing IMAC contingent in Medford, but if you move to southern Oregon you will need to change your name to "SunMan".

It seldom rains in Southern Oregon, all the girls are good looking, and crashes are unheard of.

Mike Steve Lenz here. I am going to miss you next year as well. You were my alarm clock at Wenachee IMAC meet with good tunes from your I pod blasting at 7 AM . My dog Pretzel had fun with your dogs there as well. I broke out of the hobby for 15 years for family reasons as well . I came back 8 years ago. The planes being sold now were so much better then the ones in 1984 . Good luck , I hope to see you and your wife for a visit down the road now and then. You been fun being around . Steve.

Hey Mike, all the best to you and your future endeavours - it was always fun duking it out and hanging out with you!!

Roni

P.s. don't blame you for wanting to move south... Not one bit.. This year has been pretty crappy weatherwise, LOL.

Mike, sorry to hear you're leaving for a different climate. Was good having you here @ the Higgins Field IMAC. I hope we see you again in our neck of the woods. Next time I promise not to put you to work.. I still owe you a lunch!

Ha ha!! Mike does not know Mike. He is not quitting. He is delussional! He believes he is quitting. Nobody quits. You cant fly imac and then just quit. You have to go to rehab for that and Mike is in denail so that aint gonna happen.

Amen to that D !!!
Mike only "thinks" he is quitting. Trust me; it doesn't work, you can never leave
I tried quitting in 2003, then again, in 2005, then again ... well, you get the idea!
All the best to Mike and we hope you enjoy your 5 month sabbatical from IMAC!

Hey guys,

So I had my first failure while flying my yak today, my throttle servo decided to quit at wide open throttle. I killed the engine and was able to glide home and get the plane down in one piece. My question, Is it good to use a solid linkage between the throttle servo and throttle arm on the carb or use something softer so the engine vibrations are dampened going to the servo? If any of you are wondering I had a hitec hs425bb servo for my throttle with all thread and ball links for the pushrod I had no metal to metal contact anywhere. I'll definitly be getting a more robust servo for the throttle this time. Thanks.
