I'll be flying Intermediate and not sure about freestyle. Probably won't get on our field till mid March(SNOW) not much time for me too prepare my first competition freestyle. This will only be my second Imac meet since I flew a few in the early 90's. Very excited to learn new things and meet new people.

Mike, Matt got one of Bob Dunsire's 35% Yaks.
He actually didn't like it after the first flight but once he got it dialed in he really started loving it. We were lucky enough to catch Kevin when he was in port so having him there really boosted Matt's confidence.
We're also flying 2.4 now on all our models and loving that too.
See ya soon!

It would be like a pool player playing with a crooked que, he would still kick bootie. It'll be fun to have you guys there. Thanks for all the nice clothing, the hat is kool. Santa is pretty nice, any way I can get into the family Will?

How about you Nick, is your plane finished? If so, have you flown it since the mishap? Judging from the last time I saw you fly, your gonna be tough. You will be staying at the field, won't you? You are another guy that should work on becoming a CD.[/quote]

Plane is NOT done! But i'll get it back in 2 or 3 weeks, probably before this ^&%$$%^& weather breaks so i'm not sweating it. Burnin' up the sticks on the sim though!!! I'm really looking forward to a great season with more contests and some more friends/pilots to meet. I'm especially excited to meet up with our great Canadien buds to the north in some IMAC craziness north AND south of the border! And YES, I will be staying in "PALACE IMAC"

Looks a little larger then mine. Any tips on the CG, lateral balance, or anything else you can think of would be appreciated though.

Okay, I have a question. In the 2008 IMAC Basic sequence the last maneuver is a 1½ turn positive spin. Is that a flat spin or a vertical spin?

Thanks Dan, I've been watching those but I had a guy in the club explaining the sequence to me, he flew basic last year, and the way he explained it it sounded like a flat spin. I've watched Wayne's video extensively and saw the vertical spin at the end which is why I asked. Just seemed like timing a flat spin for 1½ turns would be a little tricky. LOL More high winds and rain today so no flying again this weekend. This stuff has got to stop! LOL Should get my sim today so I can practice the sequence at home at least. At least that will get me use to what to do next even if the planes don't fly the same. It's all good!

Al,
There's a good narrative description of the basic sequence here, including the final spin.
