It would be a smoking deal if he offers you for what he offered me for the Slick. But since I have a building bug, you may luck out on the Slick 540.

I almost bought a Dietrich Slick, too. Awesome looking plane. Sounds like the first batch had some minor bugs (which they always do) mainly with the cheap-azz chinacote and some other things.
Hopefully we'll have something else to choose than a Yak or an Extra (love both, btw) eventually. ![]() Wish somebody made a big Votec 322, DR-109 or even a Panzl..

Hey do you folks know which canister is best used on my TOC 30% Yak? It has a DLE-55 but the bolt pattern is the same as DA-50. Anyone know where I can get one new or used?

You can use either a KS86 or an MTW75TDK. The KS is longer and narrower, the MTW is shorter and wider. The KS is rear exhaust, the MTW has the outlet in front. I believe you need a 25mm header drop, but check that to be sure.... Last edited by Dan767; 11-19-2009 at 07:02 AM. |

Harv, I have a freind here in Twin Falls that is looking at getting one of the TOC 260's. Did you put the rudder servos in the tail of the plane with direct pushrods or use the pull pull system and why? Is the plane nose heavy with a DA 150/170 and it needs the tail weight?
Does anyone have a phone number for Chris Hammond? Michael |

Jeff, call DA and tell them the airplane you have and ask what you need for a DA-50. It'll be the same for the DL.

Right now i have the servos on pull pull. but i have seen two of them done with direct drive.(custom mod). Reason i sued pull pull is that its the way it came, and the only way to put direct drive is to build your own mount in the tail(from what i see it doesnt seem to difficult). Tell him to look at this build thread on how this guy did it. http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...260-build.html Mnie is with a DA 150, and mtw 110 cans, and the CG is perfect. the batteries are at easy access also. and there are tons of places to put them. Ive flown one with a 150(mine) and one with a 170 (bill fongs) and both are great. my current set up and weight DA 150 MTW 110 cans 2 8711 per aileron 1 per stab 2 on rudder 3 froemco 5200 3 sahara regs Mejlick 28.5x12s 3 blade Mejlick 5 inch spinner Carbon landing gear Carbon tail gear carbon wing and stab tube Total wight WITHOUT fuel is 37.5 lbs total wieght WITH fuel is 40 lbs jsut pm me if you want any other details harv |

How do you like the way it flys Harv? How does it stack up with your 42%? I have had several TOC yaks. They have all been good planes.

42% vs 35% from what i know right now
42% extra 260 -slower -more stable -easier to fly -Does all manuvers slower( harrier rolls, snaps, etc) -not on the sticks as much -tracks like an arrow -Minimal knifeedge couplnig in high speed and high alpha 35% extra 260 -much faster than im used to -Not as stable in comparison to my 40% -Way more manuverable -Snaps are crisp but fast -has a really high roll rate -on the sticks more -tracks like an arrow -Minimal knifeedge couplnig in high speed and high alpha Both have great power and fly the planes easily. Im happy with both, although im sitll tryin to get used to the speed of the 35% for freestyle, and im trying to take advantage of having the speed. |

Being that I fly fast, I'm sure I'd be right at home with your 35%. You are going to let me fly it at Molalla right? ;-) I hardly know the comforts of flying a 40%! LOL Well, I do, but only with borrowed planes.
