Default Balsa.... Where to buy?

Where's the best place to buy competition grade balsa these days? I used to buy from Lone Star, but since they burned down, there's no telling when they might start taking orders again. So, where do you buy balsa?

Thanks!

National and BUSA have the best prices and great service. Sig is a step above all for quality but comes at a high premium.

Thanks! I agree about Sig. Can you specify grades with Balsa USA and National Balsa? I am looking for high quality.

Thanks!

I have never used anything other than the standard grade from BUSA. It compares very evenly with the selection from National and I would say right in the light to middle density range. Good quality from both, straight and with just a little fuzz on the sheeting. I have ordered the Contest grade from National and it is excellent and on par with the choices from Sig.

I am sad about the loss of LoneStar. Some of the nicest people to talk to on the phone and had the some of the best ply I have ever used.

Hmm, thanks for the info! I guess I'll order from National. How do you order the Contest grade from them? I don't see anything on the website about it....

FYI, I recently ordered some contest grade balsa from National...ordered some of the economy grade and some of the regular grade. Decent wood...The only difference I found between the 2 grades was the economy stuff has some natural staining but It seems minor and does not seem to alter the structural integrity on the wood. Opaque plastic covering covers it well, but I'm not sure I'd use transparents...Lower in price too. I'm a satisfied customer.
