Default Embry-Riddle

I was wondering if any of you plan to go to Embry-Riddle this fall. I just got in my room information and all today. Plan to visit in February. I really would like to try to play soccer but dont know. I am good but probably not that good!!! My brother told me they were rank in the top 10.

all you can do is try out and see if you can make it or nor.but you will always wonder if you don't at least try and that is worse than not trying at all

Not to be knocking Riddle or anything, but how dead set are you on going there? There are far less expensive ways to get a degree/flight training.

I'm going to try to start with a class or two at a satalight school here in Goldsboro. Class registeration is by mid Febuary I think. I'm told American History in Aviation is a good class, so I'm going to start with that and maybe an english or math class.

50,

I just took the class of History in Aviation of America and I can honestly say it is the easiest credit I have ever earned.

Yea, that's it. I haven't done any school in years, so I want to start out slow. I'm thinking about trying to get into a commissioning program. Hopefully AECP, but a ROTC program wouldn't be to bad either...

I agree, free is the way to go!

Yeah. I just assumed since you said you got your housing papers in that you knew what dorm already

There is nothing wrong with going there; it is one of the premiere aviation schools. It's like going to Yale or Harvard for law school.

Thats a great way of putting it. Yeah there are a lot cheaper ways of doing it but there are also a lot cheaper ways to get a law degree....doesn't seem to stop people form going to Harvard or Yale, and it sure doesn't stop people from coming to Riddle.

Lets just say, you get what you pay for.

ER is a good school for aviation if that's really all you want. If you want an education plus a great social life, which includes women, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere. College can be some of the best years of your life for learning, meeting new friends, women, partying, and making lifelong friends/acquaintences, which will all influence your future endeavors. Many big schools offer ROTC and other aviation programs. Look at college like the biggest life learning lesson in not just education but, a fantastic social life and women experiences as well. There is a whole lot more to college then meets the young eye!! I promise, you won't regret it!
