I am evaluating several different chargers and need some opinions. I want a charger that I can use for the next year or two. Here is what I have.
Bantam BC-6 Thunder Power TP-1010c / 210v balancer Hyperion EOS610iDUO All of these have their strengths and weaknesses. I want to be able to charge A123s, Li-Pos, Li-Ions, Li-Mng and ofcourse nicads and nmhs. The TP-1010c seems to be the most powerful but it does not have a specific setting for Li-Ion batteries. Maybe there is a way around this, but I am not sure. This charger is running the latest firmware. The Bantam BC-6 does it all as well as the Hyperion Chargers. I like the Hyperions because they can charge 2 packs per charger. The Hyperion does not appear to have the ability to cycle or discharge for storing. I have heard rumors that these features will be included in a firmware update. The Bantam BC-6 are the least expensive and although I think I have them figured out...the most pain to program. I do like the dual power capability. Ulitimately I will own 2 of each of the charge I go with...and couple it with a IOTA DLS-55 power supply. I have an old JR 10x transmitter case that I will build a portable charger case out of. What are you guys using ...and what are your thoughts and opions of these chargers. |

I use an IMAX B6 myself. Answering your question, IMO, EOS610i will be much better than e-station BC6 since you already own a power supply. BC6 is only 5A 50W whereas 610 is 10A 250W, not to mention the duel, it leave you room for expansion to higher mAH 6S packs.

I just bought two of the Hyperion Duos, I really like them, I have had the TP1010 and sold it. I was only able to get 5 amps out of the 1010 when charging a 10 cell battery. With the duo you can charge each two 5 cell packs at 9-10 amps each and it will balance the two packs as a 10 cell battery.
If you are at GMA Sunday I will show them to you. John (I am the guy with the Dalton 260 and 3D foamy super extra) |

I think I am going to keep both 610 duos... the TP-1010c and BC-6 will go for sale soon.
Thanks |

Is the TP1010c with balancer a good choice for a charger? I have heard you can update the firmware and also charge the LI ION A123's also. Just curious if there is anyone out there that has had experience with this charger, whether good/bad or ugly.

I sold my 1010c with balancer and got the Hyperion DUO charger and like it much better. Way more power and easy to charge multiple batteries at the same time
