Mine is no more after today.
Elevator servo (5245) quit on a slow roll at about 1/2 throttle. In those quick few seconds I couldn't figure out how to save it with no elevator control and it went in inverted wings level. If anyone needs a set of wings for the red, white, blue version let me know. I havn't cleaned them up yet but only saw one tiny ding on one leading edge. Everthing from the wings forward is mud covered toothpicks. I'll post some pics later. Would like to get another on the way but may save that money and put towards my 110" when it arrives.

Yes, 2 elevator servos would have been nice in my case. The only wing damage is on the leading edge of the right wing. Fuse, cowl, and canopy are obviously trash and everything else seems to have survived. Time to clean a motor and send in some servos to be checked and replaced. It hit in a field along the runway and the ground was so soft that hopefully the motor is fine...we will see.

Yep... Well the motor is now clean inside and out. Maybe I'll fire it up tomorrow before putting on the shelf.

Finally flew mine...Ended up putting an OS .46AX in it because I couldnt find a Pitts-style muffler for the .55 and I must say I couldnt be happier with it. The planes flies very well and although it doesnt have a ton of power, it's alot of fun to fly.

Thanks. I have everything back from Hitec now and they say the amplifier and motor fried in the elevator servo. I put the motor in the Extreme Flight Chinn Yak so am not re-doing the Extra so I have some spare parts if anyone is interested.

Hi Guys,

just finished building and running an os91 four stroke, Put 2 elevator servos to combat weight but still need a huge 2400 scr-2 batt to balance. Should be a killer just hope that heavy batt doesn't cause any structural problems. Anyone else ran a big four stroke. Will fly Saturday and report back.

Well 8 flights 10 grams tail weight and shes cooking, swinging a 14x6 apc and learning how to control that torque when trying precision, its too much fun for words. Easy plane to fly point and shoot a real floater though.

im just aft of wing tube, put a throttle curve on the 91 and i have slow transition bottom end shaping nicely past half stick (fine tuning still) and the verticals are truly insane, I cant beleive how much fun this plane is and flys great in the wind must be the extra wing loading from the 91 /battery combo.

I would like to fly one with a four-stroke in it just to see the difference between that and the OS .46 Ax I have in mine. I dont have a ton of power but it flies the plane very well and I am happy with that choice of engine. Mine isnt bad in the wind with the .46 but I would imagine a bit more weight and it would handle it a bit better.
