Default Re: Extreme Flight 58" Extra Glow version

The glow and electric setups actually come out to be just about the same weight.
This is with the glow setup empty.... so at takeoff the glow is a bit heavier with fuel weight...but the difference is really negligible.

and yes... many people run the Saito .82 and it is a great setup....

How would a Saito 72 work in this plane?

Do they sell a kit to convert them over to glow or do you have to do it yourself?

Yes, it has been done...I am actually using an OS .46 on mine and it flies fine...not a ton of power but I like it...the OS .55 is a good choice if your sticking with a two-stroke and it fits in the cowl nicely if you mount the engine sideways....

91 is not over powered? Did you have to add weight to the tail and how much? You must be flying 3d with that motor.

To balance the plane i have a cr2 pack at end former of canopy width wise and have 20 g tail weight, the plane flies very good both precision and 3d. The plane is a blast to fly and overpowered no way, big advantage is it will fly in stronger winds with the extra wing loading so get to fly very often.

I have replaced the standard glow motor mount which has broken twice when the uc colapsed with a stronger item, the gear is reinforced with triangle stock a thicker ply plate and m5 captives and nylon bolts. Also sullivan tail wheel setup.

Can post pic of setup if interested.

Maybe I did not ask the correct question. Is your 91 a two stroke or a four?
