Default New 2.6m Comp Arf Yellow Kiwi 260, Equiptment Questions...

Guys, I just got a new 2.6m Yellow Kiwi Extra 260 ordered from Comp Arf, and I have a few questions.First off, I will be using the upgraded G11 composite control horns from Ian Howard (Australian Comp Arf Rep). I will also be using H9 Ti prolinks and Nelson/Rocket City Ball Links, with SWB servo arms on servo side, and Dubro Snap Locking clevises on the other side. I just need to get a few things straight here.1. What length H9 Ti Prolinks are needed for ailerons? What length for elevators? (Ian Howards FULL kit states 3" for elevator and 2" for ailerons, but I have seen other lengths posted in the forums). What gives guys?2. What size spinner is everyone using? I know 4.5" or 5" probably, but what's best?3. What size tires? 4.5" or 5"??? I know both will work, but what's the consensus, and what fits best with the wheel pants????4. Are 1.5" SWB servo arms the correct size I'll need?5. Will the aftermarket titanium axles work on this plane? I think most are 3/16", but not sure??6. Is it feasible to setup a manual choke, or does the cow just not allow this??? I know the 2.6 Yak can easily allow one's hand to slip inside and flip the choke, but I'm thinking the 2.6 Extra 260 won't allow this.?? Am I correct??? Must I go with a servo for the choke??? Thanks for any help with these 6 questions guys. I would REALLY appreciate the help here, really.

Hi Paul.
I have a comp arf 2.6 260 and all I used was 1 1/4 swb arms on elevator and 1 1/2 on the alierons. This will give you all the throw you need. Dont forget to file the slots bigger this will give you more throw. On the rudder I used swb single servo tray. I have 1` JR 8711 on the rudder and 1 on each alieron.
I used 5" wheels This will give you more ground clearance great if you have a grass runway.
Spinner I used the comp arf 120mm anything bigger stick to far above the cowl.
I also replaced the kit tubes with carbon tubes. I am using 3 x 2600 lithium ion packs 2 went on the tray with the tank the other went up front for ignition the plane balanced spot on.as for the choke mine is manual the da 100 fits with about 1/2 inch between the cowl and the motor all I used was a plastic clevis and a peice of carbon rod glued to the clevis works fine.
Hope this help ya
bill

Thanks bro, First off, when I was posting this thread, I had my questions 1-6 all lined up VERTICALLY, nice and neat, and I DID NOT have them all ran together in the same paragraph like what is shown above. WHY in the world would one CONTINUOUS paragraph show like that??? Doesn't make sense to me. Anyhow, thanks for the info, and maybe others will chime in with their thoughts. How about the axles? Can I use 3/16" titanium axles? Will they fit, or no?

Ok thanks guys, I'm still just a little leary of the 1.25" SWB servo arms mentioned above. I THINK I have read where MOST guys recommend the 1.5" arms in the past, but still not sure. I KNOW there are a TON of 2.6m Extra guys on this forum. Maybe others will chime in. Where's everyone at? LOL.
