My "assembly" has hit a snag, the backup batt in my transmitter has bit the dust. And I don't know if that is the problem but it will not operate a servo. They just "hunt" for center and then rotate to one side so I pull the plug quickly.
I tried 3 servos (two brands) and two receivers also two makes, gotta be the trans and I know the backup batt is dead.

As a result I'm gonna send the 12 year old XP783A in for a new batt and checkup. Gotta have the backup battery installed anyway. It was a five year and lasted ten so I have no complaints other than how stupid is it to weld a battery in, deep inside the trans where the user can't change it ?!! (I tried)

A nice shiny 9303 sure would look nice next to this plane !

Wow. your post made me look at the reciever that came with my 7 channel XP783A. It is a 9 channel !! NER-549X. I don't remember that. I pulled it out of the Midwest Extra because of the servo thing to try and see if it would work.

Point is, Why can't you mix Aileron to aux 1, and Elevators to aux 2 with no Y connection ? I'm sure that's what I did even though I just unplugged everything without looking. I still have one for rudder, one for throttle, and one for gear as an extra (smoke on the Extra) ?

No reason whatsever. I'm looking REAL hard at the Spektrum 7. Although if there really was a Santa I'd have a 9303. With the free extras they are offering.

I was starting to worry about ma dawgs. Glad to see yall stilling barkin. Only one that has not checked in yet is the arbitrator--PTS. I guess he's trying to remember where he buried that ZDZ. Where u at PTS.

Sorry to hear about the radio problems Zoom. Good thing that did not happen while you were in the air. To bad we can't just use the force to control our airplane. I have a video camera in hand and will get some footage of the mfuess tunning methodology. Im starting to get the itch. Well, I have had the itch for a while, but the snow is finnally starting to melt. I'll be snappin wit the big dawgs before you know it.

This is fo ma dawgs......

When my yak came, there was a picture of Dawghouses 30% percent series. I think I saw an edge on the front of the box. I know that they have a 540 in the 26cc series. I would like to infer that they do have one in the plans, but the Sukhoi, Extra, and Buckerman may be produced before the Edge. How's your 3MM treating ya? What are your needle settings. I will be re-tunning soon, and I would like a comparison. Im working on the end of the third gallon.

I would also be interested in an edge 540, Maybe in a Kirby Chambliss scheme!

Edges Edges Edges Everybody wants an edge....They are in the 50cc game plan just haven't figured out when. We have the 30% sukhois flying and are happy with them so they will be next. The Bucker will probably get held off due to various reasons. Possibly a Extra 260 in the works or 300L...Have some options to do a Raven also but not sure which direction to go. Got to get the Sukhoi production started first.

I'm still working on mine, a little at a time. The weather, and my Edge project have been in the way. Hopefully, one or the other will clear out, and I can get my Yak done. I used 3" standoffs for my DL50. Looks good, IMO.

I haven't fired up my 3mm since last october/november or so.... been a long winter and I can't wait for our field to dry up. Last time I flew it the motor ran good, I did end up with a velocity stack on it to get rid of the spittle/misting. Only other complaint I have is I seem to be getting some very small bits of aluminum that come out with the prop bolts (it's not cross threaded... i've double and triple checked for that) so I wonder if it's just some left over debris from when the threads were originally cut at the factory...???? The bolts all seem to tighten up so I guess it's ok.

Gettin' Lower!

Over tightening and or thread lock will cause the debris you are talking about. If when you tighten the bolts you hear a pop, one or more of the threads jumped, causing the fragments.

I would love to see an Edge 540 in the 30% size, I have the goldberg 27% or so and the carden 35%, but no nice looking 30%ers that actually look like they are edges. It should also be an Edge 540 not a 540t, barf.

Are the 30% Sukhois the same design as the 25% ? Such as is the removable hatch all lexan with the magnet hold downs? Also could a person ever get it in an arc version. I really love the yellow and black of my 25% Sukhoi, I,d love to have a matching set.

I must say the trim schemes that dawg house is using I love. There is way to much of a trend right now for nice planes looking ugly. It seems like someone swallowed some paint and barfed it all ove the airframe, keep it up!
