Back to our roots: Time for a killer video. Ido Style.
From time to time, we are blessed to receive something very cool that reminds us where FG originated, our goal of 2008 to bring it back to the basics - our foundation of killer videos, good times, friends, and community. Well, what we're about to show you captures all of the above. It's time for a bad-ass video!
Many of you know our dear friend Ido Segev as the world renowned giant scale and electric pilot who introduced an international vibe here of FG that has resonated for years. Ido is part of the FlyingGiants Israeli contingent, who we've watched kick modeling ass with all the respect that the hobby deserves, and who always remained the humble friend we know today. And to never be out done, he dropped something pretty cool on us in form of a killer old/new skool video for the masses. I've had the opprotunity to meet Ido on many occasions in the past, and I can tell you, although a half a world away, these guys share a passion for the hobby like no other, and are a group like no other. Please enjoy this foiree back to our roots, and THANKS Ido and our friends for putting together this awesome video for our crew. [FG Staff] A message from Yonatan and friends: Hi FlyingGiants, last weekend we traveled with all of our flying buddies to an old airstrip just near the border with Egypt. Great guys and great blue skys are just a call for a video! this video is 10 minuts of pure extreem 3D flying ,its a bit big file (107mb) but worth the download! Hi Ido, very nice video dude (like always ;-) ) I like the "ido" scheme of the katana very much. It seems you have tons of power for every 3D figure. And your skywriter is running very good I see :-). Next time you come to europe please bring the superb weather with you... :-)
I hope to meet you again this summer at some nice competitions! Keep on going Ido! I'm a fan!

Video is good...
But since when Ido is a world champion in giant scale and electric???? I pay attention in every RC aerobatic competition has been happeining (from foamies to F3A and TOC type events) in the globe but have not seen him anywhere as a world champion... |

I know you explained it in the first post, but that is a LOT of smoke you are punching out!! May I ask what liquid you are using and if you preheat it? Thanks, and great vid, nice heart at the end  Martin

Great too see another GREAT video from Ido. Been a fan of this kid and have watched his progress, Thanks for the video yonatan, great work.
As for Ido being a world champion, I don't think they said this, that was Max stating that, and unless your living under a rock he is one of the best there is out there, not only in his flying abilities but more importantly in his personality. Love to watch him AND his Friends tearing up the sky, not only in Europe and Israel, but here in the states. Thanks Ido..... Chuck |
