Default Need to decide on a new plane

Hey guys- I'm looking to buy a new plane and was looking at two different ones. I'm looking at the Hangar 9 33% Edge or the Aeroworks 75cc Extra 260, engine choice would be a DA-85 or a ZDZ Super 80. Thanks in advance.

I've seen the 100cc AW 260 fly on DA100's and think that the 75cc on a DA85 would be equally awesome if not better...Out of those two planes the AW would be my choice.

I am also looking at getting a second plane to use a DA 85 in. I fly almost exclusively 3D. My first and current gas plane is a 35% SD Yak 54 with a DA 100. I was thinking about a 33% SD for the 85 but have also given thought to the Aeroworks 260 and Hangar 9 Edge or 260. For doing strictly 3D, I guess I was leaning toward another Yak or maybe an Edge but I dunno...

If you're thinking about the H9 260 Donalds Hobby has it for $150 off plus free shipping. (add to cart to see discount) If you are at low altitude I think it would be a blast with an 85..I've thought about pulling my 100 off and putting an 85 on it.

Thanks for all the input, I only fly some basic aerobatic stuff here nothing fancy (sounds boring) however the thumbs and the brain does'nt react as quick as it use to for me and after being out of the hobby for a long time I'm just happy getting to fly. I live here in NC where we are not at a high sea level so the 85 would be a screamer. I have two Aeroworks Yaks, a 50cc/DA50 and a 75cc/ZDZ Super 80. The 75cc with the Super 80 has crazy power and the plane is stock, no CF. I really like the AW QB planes, they are built well and stay together. I would like to eventually get int the 100cc planes.

I have the Hanger 9 Edge and never really got into it much....not that it isnt a good plane, I just prefer an Extra or a Yak.
Extreme Flight will be bringing in thier 100cc Yak ( 110' wingspan ) real soon and that plane is simply awesome! It flies and presents like a 40%'er.....

Don't overlook the PAU 36% Edge. Just new on the market. There is abuild thread in the manufacturers forum for PAU. The first kits shipped should be flying soon, and I am sure the feedback will be AWESOME!!!

I fly the Hangar 9 Edge with a 3W-80xiCS. It's been a great airplane.

Guys, Can someone tell me what an "SD 35% Extra" is? WHO is "SD"??? I keep reading about them on this forum, but amazingly, I cannot figure out WHO this company is?? I too am strongly considering an AW's 75cc 260, and I am trying to decide if it's the best 75cc choice for me. I think it just might be. Anyhow, does anyone know if the AW's 50cc AND 75cc Extra 260's are currently in stock and available? WHERE should I purchase either of these planes? Factory Direct, OR is there a better price somewhere at an AW's dealer???? Thanks so much guys....

Are they not Thunder Tiger now also........

Nothing personal but that company has changed names at least 3 times if not more.

I think you would be better off with the AW plane in the size range you are talking about.
