Default Leland Snow - BobH post

Bob,
Read your thread about knowing Leland Snow when he was building his first crop duster. My father worked with Mr. Snow on that first plane. He was ex Air Force sheet metal guy and helped with the plane after work in Harlingen, Tx. Mr. Snow eventually moved his business operations to Midland I believe.
Dad was present for one of the first test flights and as I remember the story, one of the wings came off! Anyway...just thought I would pass on some info. Not often I come across anyone who know of Mr. Snow's contribution to the crop duster.

Knew him when he returned from Nicaragua 2-3 days before Christmas 1954, flying the S-1, with his stake to start work on the S-2. I'm going to write more lengthily about that brief acquaintanceship...; he won't mind.
