Default New P-Tip Props

Ok guys some of you may have seen these before but I am going to put this on here for the ones that haven't.
These are the P-Tip props from JXF and they work really well. They are suppose to be prebalanced but you will need to check it anyway to be sure. I have the 32X10 on my 37.5% SD Yak and it pulls like a truck. It was a little off on horizontal balance but after getting that done it was perfect. Didn't need to add anything to the hub at all. Btw I have two of them and the second one was the same on balance.
I also picked up two 23X8P-Tip props for main-gears-bent for his DA. Yes I said a 23in p-tip prop. We also did some pull testing between a bolley 23X8 and the JXF 23X8 p-tip. We made sure the motor was tuned right and did that with the bolley as it is the one he has been flying with. The bolley had 23lbs 3oz pull was the best reading we could get. We didn't touch the needles and put the JXF p-tip on, it pulled 24lbs 5oz.
He then flew the plane to see the performance difference on the new prop. The plane is a 30% SD Yak that weighs around 17lbs dry. He said that the harriers were more solid and it took less throttle and rudder in knife edge flight. The vertical pull was great and it blast out of the hole alot better from hover. He felt the hover was a little more stable also.
The props are available from Delta R/C engines. The number is 662-378-9713 and ask for Bobby Kell.
Here is a list of the prop sizes available in p-tip as of right now. P is for p-tip.
22X8P
23X8P
27X10P
28X10P
32x10P
In my opinion these out perform the prince p-tip in that they are alot quieter and better looking IMO and you can get them in the smaller sizes unlike the prince.
Here are some pics of the test scale and pics of the props.

What kind of pull differences did you get between a regular prop and the one with the "winglets"?

I flew a friend of mine's 31x11 P-Tip and I was amazed on how much pull it had down low, but on his once I got over about half throttle there wasn't much difference. I only had one short flight on it though. It was on a Carden Edge.

Cracky,
These JXF P-tips pull like crazy! Last year I flew several different props, Bolly, 3W, Menz, and a PT Models (CF). Even though yesterday was the first day on the new prop it was amazing how much difference it made. As Jared mentioned the harriers were enough more solid to feel, throttle repsonse was a little quicker, I needed less rudder in KE at WOT, vertical performance was great. I could pull out of a hover quite a bit better than with the bolly, throw in a snap on the upline and keep going. Some guys like their engines to wind pretty tight and rip the prop, I'm not one of those, I would rather have the prop pull through the rpm instead of twisting so fast that your waisting power. All I can say is that these props PULL, low end, mid range, high end, doesn't matter, they pull! My Bolly prop was balanced, but the P-tip gave less vibration at any rpm. Great props IMO

They are trying to get their website up and running right now, Im sure they will do international orders. We will get prices posted either today or tomorrow and hopefully some video, won't be any new video or further testing for a while unforunately. It's raining like a hard summer storm right now. Crazy to have thunderstorms in February.

These really are some nice props. They require a little balance, like all props, but not very much. The tips track as true as any "big name" prop. They aren't as loud as the other p-tips. They pull very well. Great performance all around. We are hoping the weather will break for us so we can get some more video and numbers to post.

Ok guys here are the prices for the props they carry.

Regular props
16x8 $11.95
17X8 $12.88
20X10 $17.99
22X8 $ 22.99
23X8 $27.95
27X10 $42.95
32X10 $67.97

3D Props
22XA-B-C $23.49
23XA-B-C $24.99
27XA-B-C $42.95
28XA-B-C $48.10
32XA-B-C $69.97

P-Tip Props
22X8P $81.68
23X8P $89.98
27X10P $109.95
28X10P $116.93
32X10P $129.95

These are the first order prices. They should go down for the next order (I hope ) if there is enough interest in the P-Tip props. I think with the popular 50cc size engines if we can show enough demand or want for the p-tip maybe he can get the price better. As far as the 100cc to 150cc size props I think that is in the ball park as the Prince props sold for well over $200 each and imo these perform as well or better.
Hope to get a vid up tonight of them in flight.
