I too have the 73" on order. This will be my first plane of this size and was hoping it could be a gasser . Really wanted the 67" to put a bcma 26cc on it but it doesnt come in the black and red schemes. I've only been flying for 10 month now and didnt want to put top dollar into something i might not be able to handle.

Do you think the 73" will fly 3d with a 26cc or should i go with the 1.60 too? I've seen a 1.60 on a plane this size and weight and it was insane..

Nitrobeast, I would consider the Brillelli 26SSR for the 73" Yak if you want to go gas. When proped correctly it should 3-D.

I have been to FB models website and the 73" is listed at under 10 lbs all up. I wish someone had video to check out. Bill at TBM said that the plane comes with the tank installed and a fuel dot also installed. I can't wait to get a look at the plane and do a build thread.

Talked with Bill at TBM today, he said the planes should be in stock by next Friday, 3/7/08. Also the 103" Yak was designed around the DA-85 and will come in very light, should be a 3D monster !!!

Does anyone know if the Magic Hand Yaks is the same scale as the TOC Xtreme Yaks.? Its hard to tell by the picture. It also appears that I can't buy these online anymore. I have to order them from a hobby shop which may or may not carry the line. It may be possible by thier website that Chief Aircraft will still be selling SD models without the HP options. I thought this was going to happen months ago, that's why I bought a 35% and 37.5% Yak and a 35% Extra 260 from them.

There was a guy on RCU who said he saw one at a show:

"saw the models at the Beijing Model Expo in October last year.

These are the finest looking planes that I have ever lay eyes on. They are very nicely finished in Oracover and are very very light with excellent Hardware.

It's a pity the guys were not interested in an Order from South Africa "

Not sure about scale though.

Everything I've ever read about Oracover said it is the European version of Ultracoat.

If you look on the backing of Ultracoat you'll see "Oracover" printed in dot matrix form. I think thats what they call it in England or Europe. Not having had one of these types of planes, (I'm still a Cap and Extra kind of guy!) I'm seeing "SD models" with "HP" options...... What are the SD and HP designations?
