The 1.60s I bought new for 200.00 and 225.00 on the internet at RCU and ebay. The $200 one I got with a slimline pitts for 200.00(only had 2 tanks through it). I think either way you would have a real winner. What did you think of the cowl and canopy? I will probably switch out the fuel line and maybe the tank. The line looked narrow. I didn't have time to really go over everthing really well. I will do that tonight hopefully.

The fuel tube looks cheap. You should replace the tube and rebuild it anyway. I didnt know it came with a fuel dot and the fuel filter, did you? The cowl and canopy look great!! Love the ring around the cowl. That thing isnt gonna move and you cant make a mistake putting it in place for the first time. You see that alot on the bigger more expensive stuff.

I just saw a slightly used os 160 with a pitts style muffler for $200...Not sure what to do

I think i might wait and see your build thread and go from there. Do you think your gonna start soon?

Thats one beautiful lookin plane, I especially like the cowl mount. The one thing I don't like about the big name planes is the way they mount the cowl. It takes a lot of work and the mounting holes get hogged out over time.

I am gonna start it tonight by getting weights on everything and some more pics and then move from there over the weekend. I will start a seperate thread on here and there is a companion on RCU. We are getting some serious snow the next couple of days and I won't be flying the plane until late April or early May up here in the frozen north.

Any 26cc engine will fly it, but will it have 3d power? Thats the question i have.. If you can keep it under 10 lbs the 26cc will be perfect for 3d

Hey guys- Let me set the record straight, I'm not bashing Magic Hand in any way!! I'm sure they are great planes and sometime in the future I may own one myself, they really look great and have nice color schemes. I own two other planes other than a QQ plane, I have two Aeroworks planes which are outstanding and fly awesome! My point is that there was a big mess with some other manufacturer last year, the company kept changing hands and was never really stable, when I needed something for my plane it was impossible to aquire it. That's my point here, QQ and others out there are known for their products and service, I just don't like to see honest people spending hard earned money on some product that will not be backed up. I'm sure that the Magic Hand planes will offer good service coupled up with TBM, and no guys I did'nt throw a punch at TBM, as a matter of fact I purchase most of my things from them, I have talked with Bill at lenght about the Magic Hand planes and they are excited about the product. The last thing I'm going to do here is start a war, fly what you want and fly it like you stole it!!!!!! This is a great bunch of people here on FG. Sorry if it was taken wrong my sincere apology. God Bless all and Happy Easter-- He is Risen!!!!!!

I'm not bashing anything here just it costs more that's why.

Personally I like the "older" (like me) scale schemes with a lot of clean straight lines. The EF line is perfect in that sense, love 'em. In fact every plane I covered or had covered it was a scale scheme that is at least twelve years old.

But nowadays it is way more cost effective to buy an ARF and there are some out there now that are built as good if not better than I could.

If you have ever seen the initial flight of QQ's 120" yak in China and seen the initial flights of the Magic Hand Yaks on TBM's website pay close attention to the airfield. It looks to be the exact same place.Could be a coincidence but, we know that a couple of companys over there make the same planes with different schemes and names. So they could possibly be the same planes as some of the high end companys just a cheaper price. Jus my 2 cent.

Many of the planes do come from the same factorys. Some dealers Like TBM and wildhare don't mark the planes up as much as others. Kudos to them for not being greedy and keeping the price low. You can't even imagine what those 600-700 dollar 50cc ARFs actually cost the vendor. It's shocking to say the least.

I looked at both videos and I think you're right, it is the same flying site. I agree with you that these things are maybe built in the same factory, just that some don't mark them up as much. I would like to know what the profit margin really is on an arf from start to finish.

It would be interesting to find out. I am sure that each buyer sets the margin and has some choice in the harddware setup. Its funny on the Magic Hand RC site the 73" Yak sells for more than at TBM.

Remember a page back the picrure of the 26CC engine that looks like a DL-50? Well, I got to the bottom of that. It is a DL-50 clone and it's 50cc, not 26cc. For some odd reason they took a picture of the DZY-50 next to a 26cc engine box. DZY does have a 26cc engine, however it looks nothing like a DL-50. Oh well....

Well I happen to have a little experience with their 35% Suki. Suki's have been my favorite aerobat for a while to.

I've always wanted an aerobat that wasn't stretched out to some un-godly proportions and this one sure fits that bill. I was very surprised though, it had all the best attributes of a stretched one, but also had all the benefits of a short coupled one. I've never had an airplane before that would do a POSITIVE waterfall! The thing tumbles like a beast to. Of course, I have a full 60 degrees of throw on the elevators, about 50 on rudder, and about 48 on ailerons hehe....

It's 107" wingspan is huge. The one I have which we modified for lights and incorporated smoke, comes in around 28-29 pounds. The thing carries it's weight very well and it's wings are super light, which means no brainer snap rolls. I wish I had another one to lighten up to see how it would fly though.

I had a sort of pre-production one. I can't tell what it's covered in, but it ain't Chinacote. It looks like Ultracote or something similar. In all honesty I didn't have to iron anything back down, just touched up some edges that had begun to peel off.

There's a huge amount of work done to the thing when you get it. It would've taken 2 people about 2 days to finish it up WITH lights if we hurried. As it is, Ohio weather sucks so we could take our time and got it done in 4. I really liked the hardware that came with it as well, which includes everything you need for the thing.

Like I said I've always liked Sukhoi's and there's no other one out there right now in this size so it was a natural choice for me! If I had to compare it to something I'd say it's equal to Aeroworks' quality.
