I am co-CD of the Love-Air IMAC with Bert Sutton. We are working to revitalize IMAC in Colorado after several years of declining participation and fewer events. We have moved the date to July 19-20 when the wind is generally better and to make the cutoff date for Shootout points. I am actively seeking sponsorships for drawing prizes for pilots and workers. There are 4 sponsors on board now with 6 more expected soon which should make for an exciting drawing prize pool. AeroWorks has generously agreed to support a Saturday night barbecue. We will do our best to organize events to allow a full day of flying on Saturday and finish at a decent time on Sunday. The flying site is world-class with shelter, tables in the pits and great parking. You owe it to yourself to fly off of the newly expanded Love-Air 800' asphalt runway with unlimited flying box. There are many nearby motels and if you would like to stay with a local pilot, we have some members willing to be hosts. Of course, you can camp at the field.
So come on. Talk this up. Get some buddies together and make the trip. We're going all out to make it worthwhile and hope to attract pilots from surrounding states. You can pre-register on the IMAC website and find more info on the IMAC Event page on the Love-Air RC website at <loveairrc.org>. Wheels down landings, Jim Brink |
