1 RUDDER SERVO FOR COMP. ARF. 2.6 RECOMENDATIONS OR DO I NEED TWO

I'M GETTING ALL MY STUFF TOGETHER TO BUY SERVOS FOR MY COMPOSITE ARF 2.6 EXTRA 300. ALOT OF PEOPLE SET THEM UP WITH TWO SEVOS FOR RUDDER I'M SURE I CAN GET ONE HIGH TORQUE SERO AND JUST USE ONE ANY RECOMENDATIONS. GO WITH TWO OR ONE. I'M THINKING GOING WITH ONE HIGH TORQUE SEVO. ANY SUGESTIONS.

Im using one JR25kg servo on all sufaces on my comp arf 2.6 260 with no problems at all

One 5955 will be fine, but if you're leary, use an 8711. No need for two servos.

Would you still use a bellcrank or go to the servo directly? I am biulding a 2.6 also. Does anyone have any pics of their single set up on the comp 2.6 300,yak or whatever.

Yes definitely,

SWB make a single servo tray with the tiller arm supported in its own bushes. You don't want to have the cables pulling directly on the servo output shaft.

THANKS FOR EVERYONES SUGESTION. MY PLAN WAS TO GO WITH ONE 5955 IF SOMEONE HAS PICTURE OF ITS SET UP ON THE PLANE WILL APPRECIATE TO SEE IT POSTED.

I run a single 5955 on my 35% yak and have the pull/pull cables connected directly to the servo arm. I can't tell you how many flights are on it, but it's a bunch. So far, everything is holding up fine and I use a ton of rudder throw. I didn't know that running pull/pull straight to the arm was not a good idea when I built it, but decided to leave it like it is until something broke. This is probably a bad idea that could possibly cost me an airplane, but I guess I'm just lazy and don't want to fool with it. I would recommend using a bellcrank even with a single servo set-up. Better to do it right during the build.You can either buy a single tray with the bellcrank already set up or install a bellcrank on the stock tray provided. Again,if I were to suggest anything, it would be to buy an aluminum tray with the bellcrank already installed. That way you can just mount your servo in the tray and bolt it in.

If the servo has two ballraces on the output shaft a seperate bellcrank is not needed IMO. Pull-pull wires dont need a lot of tension.

There is definitly a differance of opinion on this bellcrank, no bellcrank? If I go without the bell crank and attach straight to the servo on a 3" arm would I need to move the holes on the rudder to a 3" spread to match? Using a bell crank adds the same weight as a second servo, if this is the case I am better off to go with the comp-arf 2 servo stock setup and have twice the rudder power for the same weight No?(pics anyone?)
