Did you guys get hardware in the kit for a dual-rudder setup or just for the single setup.

There is a wooden plate included which is suitable for 2 servo's...
ofcourse it's no problem If you just want to use 1

The three I know of that are flying are using 1 JR 8711. Tim Fulk just maidened his today and said to be smiling on the first flight.

@pale rider; there are ball links included for 1 rudder servo. You'll need 4 more to do a dual rudder setup.

I have a 8711 on the rudder but I'm not really happy with it. All the oter servo's are hitec and those are much better. The JR started shaking around center after the first flight! I guess I will change my rudder set up to hitec very soon.

Ive got x2 8711s on rudder but only using one at the mo. Seemed fine but diddnt try any rolling loops or knifeedge loops so can really comment on jvdos feel on using one. Im sure 2 8711s must be better tho.

1 8711 is more than enough and there is nothing wrong with it if it shakes a little around center. All my planes that have only 1 8711 rudder shake until you touch it with your finger or start the motor and get airflow over it. I'm also using 8711's on my elevators, they don't shake because they have the weight of the elevator unlike the rudder.

That's true 3 seconds after I though them they start shaking again.
In my 6th flight I came over in a harrier quite high lets say 15m ... I saw my rudder shaking from the ground :s. Ok It's not in normal flight, but wait until you/I did 50 flights my 8425's where shaking all flight long. Ok if it is a 20$ servo, but not a servo of this price. I bought this 1 JR8711 to give them another chance on the servos but sorry NO more JR servos for me.

And I can tell you one thing, right here everybody is flying hitecs right now. And after seeing this I guess this will be the same for years ...

Hi JVDO,

I finished building my QQ Yak and i have the same problem! At the beginning at had a very strong shaking on the ground, then tightened up the cables and it was really better. But after 2 days in the garage the shaking began again! I also noticed a play in the gears when they where still new.
I will fly it like that a while but i think i will finish buying 5955's

Greetings,
David
(from Luxembourg! Perhaps I will come to the 3d College fly in if i find the time)
