good deal what idle r u running i do 1500 on mine but it will go much lower. Let me know your thoughts on the B i have the A on mine and its insane with that one around 6850 on the standard jtec pitts. I hear the b takes out the jumpyness in the T-roll but I am not having any issue t-rolling mine with a A. I do have a point mix on my throttle.......

Krazy,
I am not really sure what my idle rpm is, I haven't really tached that. I do like the 26B alot. I was able to get two flights in today with the 26B and the engine tuned well. I will say again the DA 85 is definately a good match for the plane. It has unlimited vertical and will pull out of a hover well. I am very happy with the setup and I can see this plane will be alot of fun. For anyone thinking about using an 85 in the Ultimate I say go for it.

I put 5 more flights on the Ultimate today in 25 mph wind. The plane is a blast in the wind. I was able to hold it in a 45 degree knife edge in the wind and not move at all. It looks like I may need to try a different prop to try to quiet the plane down though. I tached it today with the 26B and it is turning 6700 rpms.

dcaster,

I took the A off this Saturday and put on the 26B that just arrived. I am getting 6660 on that prop and I like it better than the A of which I did 25 or so flights with. I was suprised the RPM did not go lower than what I was getting. I will not be going back to the A on this plane. I am still making adjustments to the plane but it was hard to really tell what it needed in all the wind this past weekend. It made flying or getting to fly easy. I showed up at the field and everyone had glow stuff and only one glow guy was flying with me as we both took turns. He was really smooth on the sticks on a pattern plane. I also have my 32A for an H-9 Ultimate that I am getting ready to start working on. I will be trying my 1st 8711 on the rudder in a push pull set up so that I can be up on those servos.

Yes, I can't amagine going to an A. I am really wondering how the 27A will work? I would like to be in the 6300-6500 range. The pullout and power with the 26B is great though. I just tried a 32B on my DA 150 in my Dalton and it was pretty good.

i bolted on a 27A in the backyard about a month ago and did 5750 by not touching the needles so it def brought the RPM down more than I thought it would. I do hear it still flies well with that set up. I did not try to fly i was just bolting on 2 props to easy my noseness. also did 6080 on a 28 x 10 Mejzlik JTEC muffer is my set up...

I did not touch the needles to try to squeeze out more i just did the plug and play deal...

Hey krayzc, I have been flying my ZDZ 80rv on the Vess 26A for about 20 flights or so. I was curious what improved going to the 26B? I fly only 3D with little pattern stuff. Did you 3D much with it?

gapple12,
The difference in 3d was noticeable in T-rolls, every other 3d seem to be the same. On the t-rolls its seem that all I had to do was find the spot on the transmitter and the plane did the rest. I have a curve on the throttle and with the A, I was barley moving the throttle stick like 1 click type of t-rolls. The RPM did not drop much so I can really say it’s much quieter set up but it is from some reason. It still gets loud on the ground on the last 800 RPM. I also have to lean my low out some more on this prop. Its was very windy flying this weekend but my down lines did not appear to be faster. On the A on full throttle it appears that the plane was actual picking up speed, now it appears to be smooth and steady. I did not think I would see this much of a difference since I have loved the A prop. I think I will try both an A and a B on my BG Ultimate also which presently is running a 26 x 10 Mejzlik. I also feel like the B comes on stronger in the way it pulls against my calves when I do a quick 1/2 throttle run up. I did re-adjust my curve to achieve the correct numbers for this prop; however, as stated the B RPM did not change much from switching off of the A prop. We are talking 150-250 RPM. Also if you do get the B and do not like it let me know as I will buy that baby from you. Keep us posted…..
