I hope people keep their receipts for items that have a warranty. How else are you going to prove when it was purchased? There are several items that are sold that have serial numbers but you have to register them to have the warranty. The engines that BME produces now will have serial numbers. Thank you Andy Snow

But, as you pointed out, the cheap fix, in this case, is probably the best solution. Simply make the inlet flow as it always should have, and let the carburetor take care of itself.

I have a BME that has a serial number marked on the inside of the crankcase. I do not know if all of mine have them since I have not taken the others apart. As for the 3 needle carb that I have, it works
and I have witnesses to prove it. The one that Kris posted here in FG is not like mine. I do feel it would be easier for the average modeler to use the new reed block over the three needle carb. KISSKris--With the particular 3-needler carb I am using, my engine sounds just like a DA on the low end I am fairly rich on the low, just right on the mid, and a tad rich on the high. But I do agree that a re-designed intake would be the easiest and best for all.
