A wierd looking "chili fruit semi scale" indoor foamie is to be born!
I will update this thread while building the prototype so check back soon! ![]() ![]() Download your free plans at: http://www.oestling.net/flyghorna/ja...leno_plans.zip There is both tiled A4:s and one A1 size plans, print out the one that fits your printer! I usually print on self adhesive paper and transfer it to cardboard, then a coat of thin CA-glue on the edges and the templates will last almost forever! ![]() Then take a fresh sheet of 3mm Depron, (that should be about 1/8") a tube of your favourite foam glue, one 3x1mm carbon spar for LE, one 3x0.5 mm carbon spar for TE and of course some hot snacks to chew while cutting parts! ![]() Now i will try to get some sleep and cut out the parts after work tomorrow! (BTW... remember that english isn´t my primary language so if something sounds strange - please read between the lines or just ask!)

Todays work:
Cut myself a Jap-A -Leno kit! ![]() Cutting out the wing, note the C-C marks, handy when flipping the template over to make the second attack to the foam! ![]() Cutting the rudder, careful with the scale items! Note the lack of chili´s! (Kiwi!- Gotcha there huh?) ![]() Complete kit, ready for painting and airbrushing prior to assembly! And a short video with some tips & trix from the cold up north! More to come tomorrow! |

Not much progress today... painting is a time consuming hobby....
![]() ![]() Upper surface of wing got a coat of yellowish paint.... ![]() Cut out templates for the logos... this is for the red text, similar 4 green but opposite if U know what i mean! ![]() ![]() Bottom surface of wing ready 2 race! Might not look like a chili fruit but i think it looks hot! ![]() New coat of paint on the motor - "Jap-A-Leno Racing Green" is the exact color code! More paintjob tomorrow... I´ll try to airbrush the wing so it looks like a real fruit.... Or just burn the darn thing... depends on the final result... ![]() Until next time - remember! Every day is unique - make the best of it! /M |
