I am, I managed to get 9 of the 9156's. I am wondering about using 2-3 servos on rudder? I already have 3 though so not a big deal. Good luck finding servos they always seem to be on order. I had 5 on hand from two different InStock times. I got 2 from two different online hobby shops. Which was all they had. Both places showing out of stock. I should be ordering my DA-150 this week and getting build started this weekend??

You bet, 9156's all around and a 9402 on the throttle. It's already sitting on the gear with the wheel pants and tail wheel installed. Elevator servos installed and throws set. When I get off work tonight I will do both wings. Everything was perfect coming out of the boxes. I will try to post some pics later. The new DA150 will be here tomorrow and I'm off for the day. My plan is to fly it on Sunday if the weather permits. I will be shipping this plane to the Fresno 3D event at the end of the month.

If you're looking for 9156's, hit up donalds-hobby.com. He doesn't carry them, but he got me some for a great price. He can also get the SWB arms for them if you need them.

I flew Franks prototype plane and it flew light as a feather. I was talking to Frank today and he mentioned the production planes were lighter than the prototype. This is gonna be a great flying bird. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight if you build it stock.

Big Brown truck dropped off two big boxes by the garage doors this morning.....no knock on the door, or door bell ring, just left 'em.

Luckily it wasn't raining or snowing and the neighborhood is "safe" from package swipers.

Had my daughter pull 'em in the garage.

Time to open the Christmas packages!

You're only gonna need 8( 2 per wing half, one per elev half, and two on rudder), right? The plane is small enough - I think it should do. Heck, that's all I plan to use on my 42% 260, except 8711's...

Got home today and was not surprised to see that UPS had once again done it's "normal" job on the boxes.....definitely worried me about the contents...included some pics.

Luckily the damage to the external and internal boxes didn't transfer to the contents....everything was okay.

Got a chance to weigh all the components....

Fuse 8 lb 1 oz
Hatch 1 lb 12 oz
Wings 5 lb 10 oz
Cowl 12 oz
Gear 1 lb 5 oz
Stabs w/tubes 1 lb 10 oz
Wing tube 1 lb 13 oz
Tires 11 oz
Fuel Tank 9 oz
Rudder Tray 2 oz
Tailwheel 2 oz
Spinner 9 oz
Wheel Pants 6 oz
Wheel Fairings 1 oz
Bag 1 1 lb 1 oz
Bag 2 12 oz
Bag 3 3 oz

Total weight 25 lb 7 oz

Add in a DA150 w/ignition and mufflers, 10 Hitec 5955's, batteries and receiver and it comes up to roughly 37 pounds.

Covering is absolutely outstanding for monokote.....very little wrinkling, unlike the GP Chapman 540 which I'm still ironing out. Very solid construction and colors will be highly visible.

Time to get down to the basement to start work!

That was my original plan as well but..........Talked to Frank and he advised to use 3 if I wanted to be able to do square knife edge loops. I figure it's only 2 more ounces and I plan on thoroughly wringing every last bit of performance out of the plane.

What size wing tube is used. Please tell me 1.5"!

I've got an extra CF tube from my Dalton 260 that weighs 9.5oz. The tube that comes with this plane weighs 3X the CF tube.
