I have always used the Dubro Tygon med fuel 3/32 line. I am not sure of the size. I also have not got my hands on the 150 yet either. Tower list the med line in there needed to complete list.

Mark, your plane looks done enough to weigh, so what gives? I know you may not care, but it is a hot topic with this plane.
After talking to Jesky this weekend about this plane, I understand GP's reasons for how they built this plane and what not - bottom line is that it is built so that a guy that is not too familiar with how to properly fly a GS aircraft would not rip the wings off. This does add weight, but it looks like there are a lot of places for more seasoned pilots to lose a good deal of that weight (the wing tube is the big one), and it was still designed to be an unlimited performer.
Mark, I can't wait to see the video! Fly it hard!!!

Okay guys. here's the flight report. Chad shot some video and hopefully will have it up on stlflyer.com later this evening. I weighed it at the field and got 37lbs. I was surprised, but not put off. I'm pretty hard on my equipment. The wings are overbuilt with a 50mm wingtube that is almost twice the length of the one in my comp-arfs. At least I don't have to worry about it coming apart. I have ordered a carbon fiber tube to replace it. I set the CG at 5.75 which turned out to be perfect. I also exceeded the recommended throws slightly with 45 degrees on both the elevators and ailerons.

I took off and instantly started into a rolling harrier loop. This thing has a crazy roll rate! Next came a bunch of rolling harriers in both directions and generally alot of goofing off. I decided it was time to trim it in and that only took a couple of clicks. I then checked it for coupling in knife edge. It tucked to the gear ever so slightly, so little I didn't bother to mix it out yet. I then did a figure 8 knife edge loop followed by some flat spins and then the engine quit I dove for the ground and deadsticked it in. this plane floats forever. Got it down in one piece so I checked the carb and thought maybe it was a little lean, readjusted it and up I went again. Lots more 3D and dead again........float down and land........scratched my head and decided to bypass the ignition switch. back up again and deadstick again. So I thought that regulator had been through a few planes and crashes so I changed it out and VIOLA. No more deadstick landings. This plane just rocks It rolls great, it spins great both upright and inverted. It has stupid power on the uplines and the motor isn't even broken in yet. Landings were very easy as it just floats. Wing loading is not an issue.

You might notice I equipped it with the Futaba Faast system as well. It worked flawlessly. It sure was nice not worring about getting shot down or having to bother with a pin. The range ck went well and was very easy to initalize with the 14MZ. Updating this radio off the internet is one of the best features imo. I also flew my 88" EF yak electric with the same radio. Goodby to 72mhz.

If you want one stop shopping with folks that know what's going on try Al's Hobby in Elmhurst Illinois. Their number is 630-832-4908. They have been in buisness through 3 generations and are still family owned and operated. They always seem to have everything in stock you should need.

Great flight report Mark.

Glad to hear you were able to figure out what was causing the deadstick issues. I look forward to seeing the video.

NIce work Mark! I think that it's great that it'll be down to 36 lbs. once you get that CF tube. I'm thinking I'm going to have to get one. 38% plane that's a great flyer for $1000 plus shipping? Can't pass that up.

Here's the elephant / gorilla in the room question?

It's nice that it came out at 37 Lbs; But!

With all of the large 35-36% Arfs on the market; Why?

The H-9 / QQ are 5" smaller all the way around (much smaller) but with a D/A or a 3W 106 they are 10 lbs lighter, easier to carry and cheaper to own.

I hope this plane is a success but the other options are many.

Where is the market?

A small 38% or a large 36%?

A 35-36% arf will not have near the performance of this combo. On any upline or other power robbing manuever there is no comparison. Also this plane is easier to transport due to its smaller size than most 40% airplanes. Kinda reminds me of the Shelby Cobra or the pony cars of the late 60's. Big motor in a small package. Plus it doesn't require any more radio gear than the 35% planes. The only added expense is the engine and that is only a $400 difference for a bigger badder plane. As far as weight goes there is no reading on the transmitter how heavy it is, It all really comes down to how it flys. I've flown alot of planes over the years and feel I'm pretty good at judging how a plane flys be it heavy or light. This plane is a floater and is very capable. On the landings you could hold it off and set it down very softly, not the normal attributes of a heavy plane. I also think if you look at total cost of ownership this plane is comparable to the 35% you mentioned when you factor in the included hardware that is usable, spinner, tires, and fuel tank.

Finally got my plane in yesterday and I must say the quality is as good as anything I've seen. Easily on par with aeroworks and better than the H9 260 sitting in the hobby shop being built. I weighed all the parts and they are all very similar to the one post on FG last week. I definately see some place weight could be dropped in the airframe but don't know if I'm going to cut on the plane any. All of the places I would remove weight look to be in front of the cg and I mounted the rudder servos in the tail.

I went out yesterday and shagged her rotten I did. Another 4 flights and I'm starting to get comfortable with her. I have the batteries mounted just in back of the wing tube and the balance is perfect. My carbon wing tube just showed up, I'm off work today, and the winds are around 5mph.
Sounds like a good time to go out again.

JPrc you will need to mount all your stuff up front and due to the cowl you can shim the motor out another 1/4" to get the balance to work out
