Quique once told me that the MTW cans took away about 200 rpm compared to the stock mufflers. I used them anyway on my QQ 102" Yak and it flew great and had plenty of power, but did notice that other Yaks with DA100/mufflers out powered me a bit. Now seeing the sparkling performance of my Python with mufflers really confirms his comments. So I'd say you would probably want to unload the prop a little to a 27A with MTW's. And if you find that the cannisters produce an odd power band near the hover like I found on my Yak, try a 26B to change hover rpms and help that effect. That's what I still fly on that plane with MTW's and it works well.

Thanks fellas! I can't wait to fly her!
Regarding the Antennas: 1.) I placed one near the left switch, against the cannister box. 2.) Another near the switch on the left side. 3.) Towards the rear under the rx batteries. Robert, I sent you an email stating that I want to change my 27A prop to a 27B based on your recommendation. Is the Vess prop okay to run during break-in? |
