Ever since I got my H9 35% 260 I kid that it is an ARF'd Carden.

a 50cc Yak from them would be fun

Ohhh, it is a Aviation Models 40% Yak...... (Re-covered of course)

When I saw it I thought.....where have I seen that scheme before.
Thats right it is David Payne's scheme. It just so hard to keep a good thing I guesss.
It was a real kick in the pants when I saw it and thought well he does work for Horizon now and that scheme is killer.

Been looking for a new airframe to replace the old 85"QQyak, guess I will wait until they hit the street. I have always wanted a carden but dont have time to build and cant afford one. I guess good things do come to those who wait, or something like that. My wife once said.

Awesome business partnership!! Carden is the granddaddy of 'em all, and this will bring an affordable, top of the line product to consumers. Good shiz.

Hmmmmmm, one part of me says it's about time. I was wondering when Craden was going to release an ARF. Lets see a 42% Edge as an ARF . I want one. The other says to me that owning a Carden brought with it a certain respect for a beautiful plane built and trimmed by a consumate modeller. A Ferrari if you will.........
Hmmmmm, well it will be intersting to say the least. Both very fine companies in my opinion. A great team none the less.

I just hope that the true Carden lines are kept as a policy. They are beautiful!

I hope the construction is Carden style and not Guillows style like most ARFs.

I didn't know horizon sold a ARF Yak??? I knew they were coming out with the new sukhoi but I didn't think that was based off any carden model, or is it

Hey, if there going to make ARF based off of cardens, make an 40% ARF based off of hte Carden 300 midwing. I would be the first in line to get one.

Nice lookin plane 3DF. I had no idea that was a full scale scheme. Anyone know where some pics of the real deal are?

David Payne is a R/C Pilot.... I Believe it was his scheme..... I actually Talked w/ David Personally when the Carden was being built to get the correct colors from him... and more or less his blessing for copying it...
It's not full scale that i am aware of but maybe i'm wrong?......

It will be interesting to see if this grows into something more. It makes good business sense to start with something in a size Dennis has already said has a low profit margin for kits and does not offer in this line of planes. I would imagine that the decidding factor is if the loss of kit sales on the larger planes would be more than off set by royalty fees from the much larger number of ARFS that would be sold.

Pretty cool really,

Dan
