Well while I was at work at the hobby shop today we gave our rep a call at horizon. The good news is that they have the planes in the warehouses from what we were told. They are inspecting everyone of the planes to make sure there perfect before they ship them out. They also said that they may start shipping the ones that have been inspected and that delivery might be where you are placed on the list. Its possible that maybe some of the planes my get to there destination before the 19th but that is horizon talking. One more delay for me and I will be calling extreme flight.

[quote=bodywerks} I will let you all be the guinea pigs before I order one. That's why I am able to wait more patiently[/quote]

BW,
That's the way I am about the 12X / 2.4 situation. I have a ton of buddies that have 'em and are going through the learning curve with them and are having all the problems/crashes with them. Ya'll keep on figuring the little gizmos out and this crappy ol' 10X is actually GAINING in value to me! How do I figure on that? Well.......... With all the 2.4 being put into place, look at how clear 72 is getting. Hell........ I feel like one of them lucky stiffs that's on ham frequencies! As far as the YAKs go, we're days away from getting them now. If another delay date was actually announced at this point, management at Horizon would have to pass out dark shades and wigs to all the employees for them to even drive home!! LOL! Anyway........ We're all wearing a cautious grin at the moment!
WT

*** Let me clarify that!!! The new 12X's are NOT the 2.4's that are doing all the crashing, unbinding, locking out, etc. Just the 2.4 in general...... Most of it is a learning process but there have been actual equipment problems with the 2.4's that's already on the market. Yep...... I'll wait on that stuff!

A little birdie told me that there are more people on the Backorder list than they are getting airplanes, if this is true there will be some disappointed folks out there.

DOH! That's like being in line to see a movie, slowly working yourself to the box office & just as you get to the front they call, "Sold out! Come back for the next show!" So we just go see what else is playing there instead.

Hmmm. I wonder where Canadian hobby shops rank in the grand scheme of things? Ummm . . . maybe I don't want to think about that too much.

Well I was also told at the toledo show by a rep from horizon that was at the carden booth That it would not suprise him if they did not get enough to fill half of the orders so I am sure there will be some disapointed people out there. Why would I go to extreme flight. We are a dealer. I wont say what im paying for the carden or I might get into trouble.

Hmmm...their unavailability might work out great for me! I am about to be moving, so I don't have time or money for a new plane, so maybe after all the first shipment customers get theirs and get them flying and work out any snags they might have, I will have cash in hand for the second, and possibly improved(if needed) shipment!
